my conclusion is that it highly depends on the environment where you are riding. If trips/roads are less than 80km/h which most of the mountain roads are, the Rally screen is the best. When you do highways the higher screen. To my balkan trip I went with high screen but I removed it during the trip since it got too hot. So Im switching the screen depending on my ride between Rally and High screen.

Hello. Did the “wings” get flatter from behind? Did the harness break in and fold better on the sides, or is it still stiff and in same position?

No it does not break in and it’s still stiff but by now I’m used to it and kind of liking the setup

I have one of these on the way. How do you like the Sargent after a couple years? I went on a 300 mile ride yesterday and my stock seat was giving me a lot of grief the last 2/3rds of that ride. Yep butt hurt for most of that ride. The sacrifices we make... Hoping the Sargent gives me less at the very least.

Thank you for this review, very informative. PS you mentioned it’s a standard height? According to the part number (621F), it’s listed with Sargent as a low seat height. WS-620F would be standard.

The mesh seat or cover you mentioned do you have a name or link to share? Also great review, I have a 2016 GS1200 and the seat is in high position. It's not bad for short rides but long rides it's not cutting it. And at 6'4" I need all the comfort I can get

My main concerns about any custom seat and especially the Sargent, as I am almost ready to order one, is how it affects the distance from the seat to the ground AND the distance from the seat to the foot pegs. So, given that the foam used in the Sargent is denser than the stock seat’s foam and presumably therefore less compressible, do you find that: 1) you have a noticeably longer reach to the ground? 2) you have a noticeably more relaxed angle to your legs and hips when your feet are on the pegs?
