Low speed jet is lean. Mine (different brand) does the same. I couldn’t jet it rich enough to totally eliminate it, but it’s better. The reason I couldn’t jet mine rich enough on the low is because it would load up with fuel at idle. The carb is just a bit too big for the bike is why this happens. They really need an accelerator pump type carb that squirts a shot a fuel only on quick throttle inputs. Before fuel injection, the early 4 stroke MX bikes had these “pumper carbs” that did it. They are too big though to adapt on a pit bike. Nobody makes a Pumper carb smaller than 28mm in my research…..although I have been wanting to test one out to see if it will work without bogging.

One more thing too.. When you build a Bicycle and put a motor on it.. as soon as you take the cranks off it becomes a motorcycle no matter what motor is on it. So just food for thought. you WILL need a Motorcycle endorsement to drive this.

How difficult is it to ride this beast around without the popo giving you grief? You did some incredible work. The best I've evet seen for a motorized chopper. but I doubt the dmv would ever allow anyone to slap a title on a bike frame. In my state at least. I just picked up a chopper myself but I think I'm going to stick with a 4 stroke and keep the pedals so I don't have those kind of problems. You took this bike farther than anyone else could. Congrats dude.

agreed... i dont ride it around.. i built it to sell.. so yes, i believe the police would bust you on it. i have been using it recently at the track as a pit bike to get around. i beleive it can be registered if I put lights on it... i may do that soon.

@jronpaul all the work that you put into it, you deserve more than you are asking. A title will help get at least 3500 for it. I bought mine to stay under the radar and save money on fuel and insurance, so I'll want to build mine in a way where I can at least argue it doesn't go over 35mph.

when you build a bike with a engine that is Not legal. You go the the dmv for home made vehicles and you get ID numbers to stamp into the frame. Then you still need a license to drive it because it get's a plate. Simple easy pz. I had a 250 motor on a mountain bike 2 yr's back. I had to do all this through the DMV. And that's ANY state. X popo.

cause i beleive was, the upper chain guide fell out. so the starter chain broke.. I put the chain guide back in and used RTV Engine Sealant to glue it in place and replaced the chain. if you take the cover off and you see the chain moving but nothing is happening, then you have a bad starter clutch. That is what the chain is connected to.

Is there a oring or seal on the counter shaft or are your ball bearing exposed on it. I'm having the similar problem but mine is coming from the counter shaft. I have my motor apart cause I'm doing all the seals but I didn't see one on my bike and the kit didn't come with one. Mine is a Apollo 125
@jronpaul
@jronpaul Жыл бұрын
you mean the shaft that has the gear for the timing chain? if so there is no seal there because it sits on the inside of the motor, behind the plate i took off that does have the seals.. there is a shaft seal in the plate that i took off though.
@AZNATIONRIDERS
@AZNATIONRIDERS Жыл бұрын
@@jronpaul no, the sprocket for the chain that's on the motor. The smaller one. When I puller the smaller sprocket off there was no o-ring or seal the bearings were exposed. but there is supposed to be one. I have 2 of these bikes so I pulled the smaller sprocket off the working bike and there is a thick seal in it. So I can also bet that's my leak. Because when I had the bike on it was spraying oil out of it. My dumb butt thought it was a seal on the inside so I pulled the motor and tore it apart 🤣🤣🤣 but all well I'll just put new seals on everything while it's open.
