Literally just took it apart, cleaned motherboard with methylated spirits. hit it with heat gun. put together and it works. good option to try.

Every button I press on my controller while using any Kodi game emulator, just pulls up the game menu. The controller works fine though outside of the emulators (like normal Kodi use, just not gaming use). I have tried using the mapping options for my controller and it doesn't fix the issue. Looks like this has been an ongoing issue for YEARS. I can't believe there isn't a fix yet.

Has anybody managed to get ps2 games working i can get playstation to play fine but the PlayStation rearmed emulator wont load ps2 games :( im using firestick too with Xbox controller

Technically it should power up using ac adapter only, did you try with a different adapter, also verify the connection of power switch, could be loose, also some laptops have cover switches at the back panel, unless all panels are fixed back it won’t power on

I accidentally bricked mine because of that Tech James said was all psp are compatible, then I bricked and cried, Curse him.... So the only way to fix the bricked PSP Street is to change the motherboard? that will be problem finding a salvaged one.

I bought mine from AliExpress, it still works, just make sure you get the compatible one, the mobo I got has a different revision/ part number but it is exactly the same motherboard.

So far I’ve never tested or tried other methods to recover the bricked motherboard, some say using pandora battery or magic memory can unbrick the device. It’s not a guaranteed method but you can try. Here is the link www.wikihow.com/Unbrick-a-PSP

@@kahjoinTheAir no worries the motherboard itself will not cost you much. I replaced mine did a soft mod and was able to play most of the games.

Hi you can try to download the iagl addon to an usb drive from your laptop or pc, plug it in to the pi and try to install it. Let me know if it works. Thanks

Could be flex cable disconnected. Also the trigger buttons is not connected via screen cable. Try to open it up and see wether flex cables are properly connected

Hi Erick, a normal soldering iron will do. Practice your soldering on empty pcb / breadboard before attempting to solder on flex cables

I think the version doesn’t matter. Try to install the iagl addon and run retro games on your existing kodi version before upgrading to 18.6
