Randy's a nice dog he has a lot of drive which makes it a lot easier to train. You might want to do some pile work with him where you put out maybe 3 piles of bumpers. 1 up the middle and 1about 30 feet to each side. Then you can work your push pull where you pull him towards you for one pile and push him back to another pile. Since there known piles to him it gives him the confidence to run straight to the pile with out popping. You can then start backing up and running from a farther distance to give him more confidence to hold a line at a distance. Also a lot of people will get their dogs head lined up to where they want to send them but they go the way their back is lined up, so make sure his head and back are lined up together. Your doing a good job with him and I think he's going to turn out to be a really nice dog for you, good luck with him.

I am about the pull the trigger on a Prodigy and wanted to ask you what kind of hull you have on yours? The flat bottom or 8degree razor? I’m not sure which one to go with.

I ended up going with the 8degree inverted crimps bottom and I’m glad. I absolutely love it. I can run shallow water and turn sharp in deeper water without bouncing.

My dream boat was a prodigy until I realized they don’t make em in 16 foot😢 so I bought a havoc. I have the same problem with my grab bar. Mines loose as a goose.

So what all are you using the boat for? Seems like it can multifunction pretty well. I'd prefer a seat and steering wheel myself but that open deck space is nice too

I use the boat for pretty much anything other than deep-sea fishing. I’ve used it for duck hunting, fishing in the flats or the river, gigging at night, summer time ridding, etc! I absolutely love it!

Nice hunt guys! Was that in your prodigy? From what I’ve gathered overall, mostly every state in the central and Atlantic flyways had a tough year. I’m in kansas and my duck season was terrible. We’ve been in a drought for the last 3 years.

Curious to know myself, I’m guessing not very fast bc that’s a heavy boat but they are built like a tank. My brother has one with an outboard, we hunted out of it this week and it’s so freaking nice. Not the fastest but it rides great and is just all nice dang boat

Don’t expect to see the Scaup limit to change. They have been declining at a staggering rate. Add the once in a lifetime drought in the PPR and Boreal forest Expect some tough times to come. Hang on it could get really bad with seasons and limits all around.
