Couple tips, not trying to be a know it all as if this is your third time your pretty good for being that early into one sticking. First, add a Nite Ize gear tie to the top of your stick, this allows for you to sit higher when grabbing your stick which in turn allows you to make bigger moves. Number two, wrap your legs around the tree when grabbing your stick, it makes you much more stable and way more quiet, then put your knee into the tree when your going to set your stick. Number three which is a more just generic or general advice, slow down, make sure to put your tether as high as possible and then your stick right under your tether to maximize your moves. Number four which is my final tip, when going to repel put your feet into the tree lean back and walk down the tree. You won’t get scraped up on harder bark trees. You did well for your first couple of times, it’s only going to get easier. Again not trying to be a know it all or a annoying guy, only trying to help you as one sticking is truly a fantastic method of climbing.
