My old home town for many years, great to see views of Kaikoura and it's coastline, and where I've foraged for Paua too, loved the video man

Awesome well filmed and narrated video. A great campsite under the manuka, and a wicked manuka fire to sit and yarn round Beautiful bush and mountain scrub. Bit of a bugger missing the cham, but that's part of the game eh, you gota expect a bit of shit with the sugar, now and then .... but that's why we do it

This brought back some great memories for me Hector, because Big Bungaree was the first block I went to on Stewart Island, and where I shot my first Whitetail (on Little Bungaree Beach) and that was the start of my obsession with the Island, that lead to many more trips to Stewie Awesome video Hector, and that BBQ ribs looked so bloody good

Great vid again, mate. I nearly got my first red this weekend but messed up the ranging and shot over it at 20m 😢. So I feel you! It was a shot I should have easily made, but the occasion got to me. It's still an awesome experience, though. Look forward to your next video.

Hi from Perth Western aust kiwi from Cambridge I bow shoot in wa what poundage bows are u bros shooting and do u aim right on goat or do u give it bit led ? Cheers Tooke wa
@youngbucknz6 ай бұрын
60lb is the mere average, a lot of people shoot 70+ few shoot 50ish lbs... aim on man, if the goat is on the move then you might counter for the movement.

Where is this beach?
@youngbucknz8 ай бұрын
The marine reserve is the east side of the peninsular, just past the pier hotel and bar. Then the rest is filmed down south of Kaikoura.

Late August or early September, they are usually ‘running’ then.

Nice Salmon, we used to catch them up to 30lb in the Otago Harbour sadly the fish releases stopped and the fishery is no more.
@CalTheKiwi18 ай бұрын
Why did the fish releases stop?
@ianpaterson30928 ай бұрын
The releases stopped due to the trust folding that operated the hatchery that released them every year.@@CalTheKiwi1

People have so many options for ashy they can eat yet you choose to further deplete the only food of the local wildlife and compete with them for their only food source. Did you know 1000 seals have died of starvation in the last 5 months in Kaikoura? Just been on the news. Nice one mate you must be proud contributing to that.

Please correct me if I’m wrong but I find it horrible how you kill a beautiful animal like that and just take the head when you could have taken all the meat Also I agree with hunting but only for the food not for a head to have above your mantle
