How good!! Nice haul guys🤙 Just putting it out there... imagine how good the diving would be if they banned cray pots within 200m of shore?!?! Mark it with buoys and have cameras set up on the Peninsula. It could be one of the best diving destinations in NZ.

Good video with nice commentary. Only negative is diving with the snorkel in your mouth. It's bad practice as it will allow water straight into your lungs in the event of a shallow blackout. Otherwise awesome job.
@youngbucknz3 жыл бұрын
Thankyou for commenting, we usually dive shallow in pairs but good point. We will currently keep that in mind when diving for a long duration and diving deep.

What depth were the butters at? You have done a great job as a young filmmaker/vlogger. Ka pai!
@youngbucknz3 жыл бұрын
Generally they relatively shallow, you will always find them in the weed/kelp. Any were from 6-15 ft.

Hey guys! Do you have any advice for a spot for me to go when i get to kaikoura? I want to shoot some butterfish and grab some crays
@youngbucknz Жыл бұрын
Sure thing! Definitely worth finding the clearest water in Kaikoura... have a look north, south and on the peninsular itself. You can pretty much hop in the water and get butterfish or crays anywhere as long as the water is clear. However, our most common spot would be South of the peninsular just before Goose bay... Mind there are a few marine reserves down that way. Good luck👍
@Ludwigoeberg Жыл бұрын
@@youngbucknz Thank you so much for a quick answer! So around the reserve would be good as long as its not inside? Im super stoked to fish! Are you going to dive anytime soon?
@youngbucknz Жыл бұрын
@@Ludwigoeberg Yeah anywhere before or after the Hikurangi reserve, I'm based in Nelson at the moment, but we holiday down Kaikoura way in the long weekends.
