This is usually a faulty hdmi or USB cable issue. Remember that the USB cable needs to be a data transfer type. The normal ones won't work.

the only issue is You need a 2nd hdmi or DP cable to see what are you doing when switching the VR headset because with one cable you can't even configure

Usually this issue is fixed by reinstalling steam vr and recalibration a couple of times..

I've got a problem I seem I cannot understand..so basically I'm in the steamvr home and it's telling me to press Y on the controller I use the DX4windows for it to be a Xbox controller but it seems that the steamvr is not detecting any at all input from my controller I would be so happy to see it work 😔

I'm sorry it did not work. Usually when you get the this message it is because of 2 main things. 1. HDMI cable is faulty. 2. USB cable is not the right type. @@levilie3200 what you can also try to do is reinstall the steam vr in the steam folder and try recalibration a few times. It also took me a few tries and it fixed the problem for me. Also after reinstalation of steam vr, restart your computer.
