My first project when I started working at Thermofisher as a Systems Engineer was to do a benchmark experiment of the QS7 Pro, Opus, and Agilent. Qs7 Pro ended up having overall better performance and user interface. Also, there was a lot of bleed from Opus Filters for a few of the dyes I was using, causing bad reference CT value. Also, the Melt curve derivatives will varied from well to well i=on the CFX Opus leading a to a non proportional heating across the thermal array. The QS7 pro had more even thermal proportional across the array. I don't fully remember, but I had issues with the Opus genotyping analysis, im not sure if they even had any or a least the maestro software had limitations. I no longer work at Thermo and I have no stake in it. Just thought It would be nice to share. I moved on to the medtech industry and out of the biotech.

Hi i got a question. We have a Tecan evo 150 in our lab but nobody used it since 2016 if I am correctly informed. Now I am trying to set up some easy pipeting tasks and assays with the LiHa pipeting arm. With the 96 arm is everthing kind of easy but with this 8 arm I cannot even find the drop and get tips comand. I dont know now I just have copied it from an old script but then it tells me " DiTi-command defined for standard tip 1" and I for me it is not clear how I can change the defined stadard tip. is there somebody that could help me?

Great video!! I have one query I need to calibrate my GC 2014 Shimadzu for CH4, CO2, H2 and N2 in % I have different composition of those gases CH4:CO2 = 90:10% CH4:CO2 = 50:50% CH4:CO2 = 10:90% N2:H2 = 50:50% N2 =100% H2 = 100% How to do it for multiple gases multiple compositions?

Here in Canada there’s strict laws preventing this kind of thing. If an energy drink says 140 (which is how much is in OUR Celcius) it absolutely has to contain 140 no more no less or you’ll get in serious trouble. I’ve had some imported cans from America that absolutely do not hit as hard as what the content on the can says. The Canadian energy market goes through RIGOROUS testing. I had celcius at least 4 years before it ever came to Canada and it was the us can for orange and it was majorly weak lol. CLIA & CLIA WAIVERS are different. CLIA waived tests are tests you can do at home but if CLIA WAIVED are done at a doctors offices, clinic trials lab etc. & tests are shared with patient etc. a CLIA Waiver is required. CMS-CLIA website has great info. & so does CFR 42 493.15.
