Does it really matter if you get your gear cable to go into the trigger shifter and the lowest gear

Thanks I replaced mine and after 2 hrs of fighting with the front derailleur not going into the 3rd and largest outer gear I think I messed up the install. I think I may have had it still on the middle gear when I cut it and put in the new one. That took away the ability to shift through all gears. Gotta double check but it's all I can think of and you saying start on the specific gear makes me think I'm right. Mine is old but is similar enough it was helpful. Great angles and lighting. Thanks!

On 3:26-3:27 you have turned the pad without comment! Without noticing it assembly can go very wrong!

@@Superogobongo At 3:15, the washer is installed ‘in reverse’ from how it should be mounted. After the film is assembled, at 3:17, the upper washer is already installed correctly.

Интересно, не знал что бывают картриджные каретки на насыпных подшипниках, думал что у шимано они все на промах, так же как у Neco, VP и других производителей.

I have a similar shimano freewheel and the hub is very stuck, where I can get that tweezer like tool and the socket to do the job? Thanks.
@chtimpeng18 күн бұрын
the only thing I see on the freewheel is Suntour - Japan and it is a 7 speed. The bicycle is very old and been sitting inside the garage for about 10 years and I been riding it for the past 4-5 years.

😮😮😮 this idea is absolutely fascinating. I am most definitely going to try it😊. To my knowledge, it's only available here in South Africa, but after completing the project, I'm going to cover it with ALCOLIN SILICONE TAPE to make sure that the inner tube doesn't move around. Thanks a lot for your information. This is going to be fantastic👍.

Thanks for the video. I needed to verify that I am turning counter clockwise to loosen that bolt. and it wont come off. I removed the freehub casing, bearings, etc but the main part is still in there where the pawls ride or attached too. I have it in Blaster penetrating oil and will give it a shot tomorrow again. I am using 11mm for this one. There is about maybe 1/16 movement left and right when I try to remove it. Any ideas? Maybe I just need to buy a new wheel and move on on this project. I dont know if I can get a pipe wrench and grab that main part and try to loosen that way. I believe the freehub is geared to match the hub to lock in place (for no slipage) and that bolt holds it in place to the hub - so I am thinking that will not work: the bolt has to come out if I got that right.

Caution: Some RevoShift shifters have small very recessed screws holding the plastic housing together so you can't pry it off with a flat head, as this video shows.
