When I grow up I wanna become a combat medic to help people in rather tough situations aswell as I started learning new languages to be a translator the language I’m working on is Russian, because I am actually mostly Russian and I wanted to get the harder languages done first and another reason that I want to be a combat medic is we help both sides and we are all human we are just influenced by the politics hatred and power hunger and I hope that when I grow up I can make a difference

Hey, I have a heart murmur it does nothing to my health I can get a doctors note saying I’m fit and perfect for runs and workouts! But I have red green color blindness. But I can still see the colors perfectly fine. It’s the little charts that get me… is there an alternate test for that I can do or is that not required for 68W? If I can’t do this ima go 11B! Hope to hear from you.

Don't even mention it, it will disqualify you.
@Addyson_243 ай бұрын
Don’t mention a thing they legally can’t ask for proof of medical records. If you don’t say you have the murmur they they will never know and you can’t be disqualified because of it.

Are just-delivered aircraft immediately taken up in the flying roster? Or, like in the civilian world, need they be fitted out with custom items beforehand… (And when is the tail flash added?)

Do CCT or TACPs have to complete this course before attaching?
@asce9182 Жыл бұрын
No, they are fully trained through the Air Force Special Tactics Training pipeline. The only people attending this course are Cooks, Logisticians, and Mechanics that are assigned to support Special Forces.

I'm retired wv national guard and I'm having some difficulty trying to understand why camp Dawson was chosen as representation to show these young ukranian men and women what the military is like. Part of my career was active duty Army and I would think that visiting an active duty post would give a much better impression of military life. Not much goes on at camp Dawson on a day to day schedule, primarily administrative responsibilities. Just my opinion.

Ridge Runner maybe?
@gregorall9779 Жыл бұрын
The challenge academy has become nothing but a shell of what it was. Back when Gen Tackett ran it, a class of 120-120 might start, but by graduation, there might be 20 kids because the program didn't put up with kids who were half-assing it and not making any effort. Now, because the state gets federal money for every kid who graduates, it's not uncommon that there is a 100% graduation class, and they've increased their class sizes to generate more revenue. The kids who minimize their effort and don't try get the same benefits as the kids who are giving it everything they've got. I wouldn't recommend this at all.

What Mos can be a support personnel to SF?
@HighTreason0072 жыл бұрын
Other units like the 82nd may support while 75th ranger regiment act as a quick reaction force.
@parawill70742 жыл бұрын
There are quite a few like admin, medics, logisticians, maintenance, cooks, commo, chemical, etc. If you are interested just check with a recruiter and they will tell you what MOS they need at the unit. I was SF support on active duty and went through the training myself. I was former infantry, so much of it was refresher training for me at the time, but was still a blast to do.

sorry for late reply! we have many MOSs that are in SOF support roles, and also have 1528th Forward Support Company Special Operations Airborne unit, which has a ton of support positions. More facebook.com/groups/1717404128574166/?ref=share&mibextid=NSMWBT

Back in the summer of 1980 my Georgia Army National Guard unit (116th Army Band) was flown by a C-130E from that unit to NAS Norfolk, VA for our AT period. I remember that the 130 parked (at Dobbins AFB) next to a couple of A-10's which were new in the inventory at the time. During the trip a friend of mine, whose brother had been a navigator in the Georgia Air Guard, decided to go up to the cockpit to have a look around. He found the plane on autopilot and the crew, well, was taking a short nap! We had a good flight and a safe landing in Norfolk. After our 15 days were up we left the Little Creek Amphib base and arrived back at NAS Norfolk for our trip back to Atlanta, again via West Virginia Air National Guard. Alas, no one knew anything about the flight or the airplane, or knew where it was. I started looking around and finally saw in amongst a ramp full of Navy C-130's one painted in Air Force camouflage. It was our flight! Things were straightened out in short order and we arrived back in Atlanta a little late, but safe and sound. Thank you for your safe but interesting flights to and from that AT. I retired from the Guard 9 years ago. Glad that you are still in the C-130 business and are receiving new aircraft. Keep 'em flying..
