2-19th Special Forces July Morgantown Jump

Making history! Saturday, Soldiers with Forward Support Co “Easy Company,” 2nd Bn., 19th Special Forces Group, Airborne conducted a Static Line Operation from a 130th Airlift Wing C-130J Super Hercules onto Drop Zone Buckschmiddle in Reedsville, WV - the first time a #C130J aircraft was used to deploy paratroopers at this particular DZ.
"The weather and the winds couldn't have been any better, it was a perfect day to jump,” said 1LT Michael Reffitt Jr., FCS executive officer and Airborne Commander for this operation.
“The operation was only able to happen due to the hard work of my Jumpmaster Team at the departure airfield and on the aircraft. We look forward to many more high performance jumps in the near future!"
The Soldiers caught their flights with the Charleston-based C130-J crew at the Morgantown Municipal Airport.
