Need a Pajero Evo for your collection. I'm a Montero/Pajero nerd. Always wanted a 3000GT but the FWD cars seemed to boring and the VR4 too pricy. Cool content

Probably see some people dissapointed theyre the non-turbo FWD models. But i dont care atleast you still took the time to go out there and rescue them. Hopefully they don't end up a part-out. Me personally if i had the money id have a couple of built Sl's. But i have neither the space nor funds lol.

Production #'s were low because tariffs were so high, making sale prices soooooo high, lobbied by GM because half the motor with the same weight vehicle were beating n/a Corvettes out the box, Americans weren't buying them.

You might want to add more tid bits like the electronic suspension. There were little servo controlled valves inside the struts. You could push the button and make it a super stiff ride for ultimate handling in these super heavy cars. They weren't sports cars, they were touring cars. The butterfly valve in the exhaust was to make it quieter while touring since it closed off the left side muffler exit and re-routed it through the right side muffler making it double muffled. There was a miniature pump driven off the rear differential that pumped the power steering fluid back to the front reservoir that aided in the rear steer. The valve block above the diff was pilot-operated which is what controlled which direction and when the hydraulically operated rear rack moved the rear tie-rods. There were accelerometers under the driver's seat. Automatic side mirrors were an option in Japan. In Japan they had 14B turbos not baby 9B's all American versions came with. You must have soo much more to add. Do you already have a video on all of these things, as I'm new to your channel? If not, please make one!
@solomonbarker9305Күн бұрын
..It had 2 intercoolers, an oil cooler, and a power steering cooler, which was very necessary since the power steering pump made really high pressure to be able to operate the front rack and pinion, pump oil through over 100" of tubing to power the rear steer, which creates a lot of heat! Truly way ahead of its time. I had 3, I miss them.

Such a huge letdown that these cars are front wheel drive unless you get the VR4, for AWD
@az_3kgt714Күн бұрын
For me its not much of a letdown. Yea not AWD but you also weigh about 500lbs less, Good tires and an LSD and most people wont miss the lack of awd.

LOL The comments. I agree with many of them. I had a 3000gt VR4 and a Stealth R/T. Nothing but problems with the VR4, but it would fly when running right. The R/T was much more reliable. Either way I would never own one again. I recall they had something like 20 computers on them. They would be a nightmare in today's world to get parts for.

My dad used to work at a chrysler dealer when i was a kid. The stealth rt twin turbo was the faster car around at that time. I dunno why it went under the radar for a lot of people. Always wanted one when i was a kid. I prefer left hand drive car, and frankly, i always prefered the stealth to the misubishi.

The VR four was pretty sick but the Eagle talent TSI was my absolute favorite. I loved what Dodge and Mitsubishi did in the 90s and they screwed it all up rolling into the 2000s by turning the eclipse into a v6 piece of poop.
@RyanandSharonWelch2 күн бұрын
I’ve known about them for years. They were a holy Grail back in the 90s, the problem was when we came across was beat. Shit. You need a good specimen that is rare not something you can hump the classified for. Nicely done to see one again.🎉
