Great overview. How does the ac get to the couch while on the road? Are there vents back there? I’m in Texas, so I’m a tad concerned about no coach ac when camping. Have you learned any tricks to mitigate that? Thanks again.
@LubongAdventures2 жыл бұрын
Hi! The AC comes from the front and the roof vent pushing the hot air out while pulling the cook air from the front. It's a light cool breeze. Living in Texas though you'll need the PX! We have a small fan that mounted under the cabinet that our son uses.

Great review video. Beautiful family. Hope you're still enjoying it! One request if you ever get a chance can you please measure the distance (In inches or mm) between the two metal "posts" (the two sticks at the bottom of the removable headrest that insert into the holes on the top of the chairs) of the front seat headrests? Having the hardest time getting that measurement which I need to order an iPad mount for a Solis we'll be renting but can't have access to until we actually start the rental. Would be super grateful if you could, thank you!

It really changed the way we camp because now we look for places where it's dispersed camping or BLM lands since we have everything we need. when u convert the sofa to a bed, is there space at the bottom to sleep? just wanted to ask cos we have more than 2 kids lol
@LubongAdventures3 жыл бұрын
Hi. Unfortunately, there isn't space underneath. The pop-top can hold at least 3 people. Our daughter is 5'4 and weighs 140lb same as my wife and both of them slept up there with our son who is not a lightweight either. The driver and passenger seats swivel and you can get a bed of some sort for another person to sleep on. The area where the table goes is another option. Just bring a sleeping pad.

@@LubongAdventures another question, the 59p doesnt have the rear AC right? does the dash AC work ok for warm weather?
@LubongAdventures3 жыл бұрын
@@chanfamgetaways2706 yes, the 59P doesn't have rear AC. We turn the fan on in the back to help move cooler air back there and we also bought a small fan for our son who sits back there. The hottest temp we've camped in is around high 90's in Kings Canyon last year. We parked in a shaded area and opened all the doors and the fan all and it worked for us. Not sure how the weather is in Socal but here in Norcal the temps drop significantly at night so we don't need AC at night.

Congratulations!!! I hope the family has Great adventures. Not sure if you signed up for "good Sam's" from Camping world but it gives you discounts along with the booklet of camping sites, camp grounds around the nation. Another choice is signing up for "harvest host" and overbite and if you ask may stay longer @ vineyards, winery's, golf courses, and museums. There is a small fee but its annual and year round especially since covid19 quarantine has been lifted you'll find campgrounds are sometimes over booked.
@LubongAdventures3 жыл бұрын
Thanks for the tip! We've heard of Harvest Host. The last camping trips we've had we chose to dry camp somewhere along the route or near the area we wanted to see. So far we've been lucky! No reservations needed. So happy with the van since it's pretty nimble and has everything we need.

I have a Solis too and recently added the Sumo springs after seeing them in your video.

Hi B. Tires are BFG KO2. The spare tire carrier is by RIGd Supply - it's a hitch mount. Hope that helps.

@@LubongAdventures Yes, thanks that helps a lot! Are the tires the same size (rims and measurememts) as the stock tires, or are they any larger? How does it affect the ride and gas mileage? Also, is the spare the same as the four that are mounted? Thanks again!

Hello Lubong family. This is me once more. My Solis 59P w/sofa bed arrived and I’m jumping with joy. However, I have a question - what size plastic bins did you purchase to store items behind and under the sofa? Thank you for any advice you may give.

Hello Lubong family. I just purchased a Winnebago Solis 59P. I’ve been following your adventures and have a question. When you travel do you take your dogs? If you do are they kept in the van and is it cool enough for them while you are out exploring? I ask because I have two Pomeranians. Thank you!!

How is the vehicle without the airconditioning?
@LubongAdventures3 жыл бұрын
Hello! The 59P has an AC just not rear AC. It's been fine with us when we've been in temps in the high 90s. When we are on the road, we keep the fan on with the lid open and it helps bring cool air from the front to the back. We haven't taken it in places where it's really humid in the summer like Texas or Florida through. For those states, might be better with the PX.

Great video. You mentioned that you’re glad that you got the Solis instead of the Tofino. I’m considering the Tofino too. We’re anfamily of two adults and two kids aged 7 and 2. Would you mention the main reasons you chose the Solis over the Tofino? Thanks! Mabuhay!
@LubongAdventures3 жыл бұрын
Hello! What we like about the Solis is that it has a high roof so we can stand upright inside the van. With the Tofino you can only do that near the front when the pop-top is open. We also have a sofa bed that gives us additional 2 seating making it 6 seater. We also have a cassette toilet and a shower which the Tofino doesn't have. Those are the main reasons why we chose the Solis over the Tofino. If you want rear AC the PX has that.
