Morning Kelly. I just watched Kate Bowler’s youtube interview with Timbe Locke and thought of you. Check it out when you have 37 minutes to spare. I love you sister! 😘😘😘

Yay For You Kelly, for asking for help. I always feel like I am on the same wavelength with you, I so enjoy your videos. There is a slogan among people in the 12 Step Programs: Ask For What You Need". I forced myself to ask for help when my Husband died in March, 2023 after 54 yrs of marriage. I love the picture of yourDaughter with apple in her mouth. Keep on Keepin' on. Love your ideas for your lovely Farm, inviting women to partake.❤

What a wonderful opportunity for someone or a couple who have the time to help a family in need. I was raised on a farm and I know how much work there is in maintaining one. I pray you find the help you need and your decision making becomes easier as time passes. You will get threw this.❤

Whether you stay or go, I'd recommend that you keep the tools. Are your kids of an age that they can help? Also, many Ag schools have programs that enable young people to come to your place to work and get experience in farming, so that one day, when they have their own, they'll already have some experience. As I understand it, they come and actually live on the property. You might try contacting some universities with good Ag programs to see if they have something like this. If it's not farming help you need, but renovation/repair, you might see if carpentry schools have the same sort of thing. My best wishes to you!

Beautiful property! Ideas for finding help, could you reach out to local 4-H clubs or local high schools for kids that want to learn about gardening or need service/merit hours? Could possible use the green house for learning winter growing of things in trade for work hours

Good ideas! Thank you! I’ve had highschool kids out. Not opposed but didn’t quite pan out as I’d hoped last time. End up being a whole lot more work after they left. Ultimately I’m hoping to draw young women eager to gain more experience in hopes of one day establishing their own farm. Thank you for the suggestions!

I couldn't agree more Kelly. The need to accumulate stuff has prevented the growth of spirituality especially in the more so-called "developed" world. If I had my life again, I would take a vow of " "poverty" and serve the community. Thank you for this wonderful vlog Kelly 💛💛💛💛🙏🏻

I hear you. And it’s strange how we tend to accumulate more and more stuff through life sold on the idea that we need it. Some of it helps. Most of it winds up as clutter somewhere down the road. I think a great question is…is me buying and having this worth someone else having to clean it up when I’m no longer here?

It’s a daily choice to seek out the things that support our thriving. When I get lazy about that choice my energy tends to sinks. I’ve got a whole bunch of blank paper upstairs and water color paints. Albeit faint, I can hear them calling me. Just to play with texture and color. Makes me think of you🥰

Well I haven’t done anything productive with the farm yet. But the house has gotten a fair amount of attention. The farm is next on my list to wrap my mind and heart around. What I know for certain is that I can’t do it alone. We are finding our stride, slowly but surely.

Hopefully wellness has returned to your family… ‘Tis the flu etc. season. In this retired season of my life thriving would be the reduction of worry and stress being able to experience joy in each day. I am consciously working to achieve those feelings.
@kellyisabelledemarco11 күн бұрын
Wishing you all the best with that. Your reply brings to mind for me that our definition of thriving likely shifts and morphs through the seasons of our lives. I think every season is a good one for reducing worry and stress. Peace to you💕

I agree. Yet I do find that sometimes that is a way to relax and connect with my girls. I learn things about them from the shows they gravitate towards. I learn things about myself too. I used to be anti TV as it felt like a time of non-living. Oddly, watching became one of the few activities Tim and I could do together when his symptoms were so bad. So it became a time I looked forward to…like reading and enjoying an extended book together. Each night a new chapter. For me the emphasis was on the connection…with the TV and what was showing on it secondary…just a means to an end through a rough patch.

What a marvelous concept for your new vlog! It is the focus of my life as well, thriving planet, thriving me. After a lifetime spent doing various kinds of environmental advocacy, I have been thinking about how I want to spend the last part of my life, and about how I can have the most positive impact on the planet with the time I have left. I've personally endured a long period of struggle and I am also ready to let it go, embrace the totality of life, and be as happy and fulfilled as I can. I'm delighted to witness your journey and see what else I can learn from you, who have already taught me so much. Namaste.

Thank you Wendy! It’s been a labor of love and letting go. The stairs and front foyer are last. Something feels spiritually significant about finally bridging the connection between the two floors and harmonizing both spaces. The basement is my winter project over time. That’s where the the older memories are stored. In books, journals, memorabilia. Praying that process will be smooth and grace filled.
