Omg titans curse is getting the love it deserves!!!

Very glad to see the titans curse so high up on your overall list, it’s probably my favorite from the OG series and feel it’s slept on way too much. Introduces so many great characters and probably has my favorite and imo the saddest death scene in the entire series (if you know you know RIP). Could go on and on about how great it is even the beginning just the overall adventures vibes of Percy, Thalia and Annabeth going on adventures together is so fun to follow.

you forgot that he could stay dry and make things dry while in the water, he can make earthquakes when he caused the eruption in Mt. Saint Helens, he can manipulate posion and blood (including ichor), navigation skills on/in the water and can sense water

i saw the second movie years before i got an intrest to the rest .

I actually liked Pipers character development the most. I think she was kinda cool in HOO (I liked her powers and how her "I'm not like other girls" attitude sort of changed, and how over the five books she just grew up), but I absolutely loved her in TOA. One of the reasons is definitely because I never liked Jiper and was actually happy when they broke up. It makes sense, not only because Piper is a "big ol queer mess" and she needed to understand that, but also because they were both kind of manipulated into the relationship (by Hera, Aphrodite, and Piper herself when she was unknowingly manipulating Jason) and never really tried being just friends. And I was happy that she understood that the roots of the relationship and the relationship itself was never real. I personally don't care that we didn't get more of her relationship with Shel, I was just glad that Rick mentioned it and let us know that Piper is now doing what she wants and not what she thinks she needs to. Love her. And Jason. Of course. Also my hot take: The TV show is okay, but it needs to be better.

Some of my personal hottakes: 1. House of Hades would have been a lot better if Percy, Jason and Nico had fallen together into Tartarus, instead of Percy and Annabeth, both for the sake of character development and tension. 2. Ever since Mark of Athena, Rick Riordan focused more on portraying Percy and Annabeth as the perfect couple than on developing them individually and their character arcs suffered because of it in hoo. 3. Annabeth is not that much smarter than Percy. Never in those books, neither in hoo, nor the og series, has she done aynthing that proves she is smarter than him. They are both absolutely brilliant and two of teh smartes Riordan-verse characters, and roughly on the same level intelligence-wise. 4. Percy and Reyna are the two riordan-verse characters with the best leadership capabilities. 5. Son of Neptune is the best hoo book. 6. The relationship between Leo and Calypso was one of the worst writing decisions Rick Riordan ever made. 7. The scene with Eros/Cupid in house of Hades would have been much more impactful if Percy had been present 8. The dislike Jason Grace receives in the fandom, has more to do with Rick's poor writing choices regarding him, than with him "not being Percy"

6:08 I loved Couch Hedge in HOO and TOA I felt that it was nice involving the world beyond the Mcs we knew already, plus I think his character growth in the background of the two series is underrated and how he becomes a more stable adult figure and proved the people calling him a useless Sayetr since he was getting older, not to mention without him Nico would of died in the Last Olympian

Thinking you have feelings for someone before realizing you don’t need to conform to society’s hetero standards is something that can happen to ace people. I think, I mean it happened to me and that’s why I love Reyna. Her joining the Hunters can also be seen as her casting of social standards and doing what she wants. As for Piper I never understand the hate for her I kept seeing. Most people boil it down to, “I’m not like other girls” but that’s an oversimplification to me. Piper is someone who has been in trouble her whole life for a power she did not ask for and doesn’t understand until The Lost Hero. When she embraces who she is and who she wants to be that makes her powerful. Also dat judo flip animation is great! Octavian for me is really just underwhelming as a more human villain especially considering he was following Luke who is debatably the best villain in the Riordanverse. Something I noticed is that Rick kinda moved away from other demigods/human magicians as villains over time and from HoO onward all the major villains are gods, emperors, and monsters with Medea as an exception though she isn’t really the main antagonist. In fact the only interesting more human villain Rick wrote in this universe after Luke was Desjardins from Kane Chronicles. Though I like main antagonists like Loki, Nyx, and the Triumvirate, I kinda miss that dynamic with a villain who is weirdly human. Octavian was a chance to bring that dynamic back, but he wasn’t that. As Will said he was an “anemic looser.”

My hot takes 1 the switch in the lost hero should have been between Annabeth and Jason in this way we could have seen the children of big 3 on quest with an intertwined story for search of Annabeth and Nico could have joined Percy and Jason which could have given us a banger opening to heroes of olympus . 2 Ending of Tower of Nero is way better than Blood of olympus . 3 Heroes of Olympus lacks character dynamics which could have been super interesting to explore such as Leo, Annabeth and jason (smarts) Percy ,piper and Leo(trouble markers) Hazel,Percy and Jason (big 3's children) Hazel,Leo,Jason and Percy ( team Avatar ) lol
