Love that Kato's tag is Jarren's voice lol. He's everywhere now, on a damn E-40/Wall track without a verse!

I remember funk Volume, Swiss and Hopsin and then all that stuff happened to beef between Marcus and dane. Since supposably that was all beefing and everything and then it came out with undercover prodigy

I was 8 years old in 2009 when I found FV. Part of the reason I make music today. Never got to see them live because Hopsin had a 18 years age limit but some friends of mine got to see Hop and Token here in Sweden 😤

The Funk Volume era is still one of my favorite eras of rap to this day. I was just getting introduced to the independent rap scene at that time. Everything from Hop's crazy music videos, the Funk Volume cyphers, the rap contests, and being around for the early days of social media made this era special. Sometimes I really miss this era.

Crazy bro. Cool to see you making content like this. Rapped on one of your beats for one of the FV contests back in the day. Y’all made me realize this shit was possible. Hope you boys are doing good Those contests are also responsible for all the rappers leaving comments on KZbin begging to check their music 😭

Man bruh funk volume had spiritual value in my life along with a lot of other musicians and groups but it’s like as I progressed with my craft and as changes happened in my life I saw you guys go through the same changes on a much larger scale almost showing me what I’m going through is normal for the hand I’m dealt and the route I chose just know you all are appreciated at large levels probably not even understandable to yall and I personally can’t wait to work with all the artists that inspire me and tell yall bout this shit face to face❤

Those FV days (2009-2013) were golden fr back in high school. Crazy how it went from that to releasing a track with Dizzy Wright back in 2022. Appreciate y'all inspiration & still pushing to this day thru solo endeavors ✊🏾

I found Hop from Tech then Swizzz then Benton and you. The Jarren Kato shit was my faves of FV tracks! FV was a great team and if things worked out it could of been history making. It was kind of personally saddening to watch it crumble. Theres been some great post FV tunes tho too that might not exist if FV still did.

Bro FV really had me on they’re shit heavy!! I remember first ever hearing “Funk Volume 2013” thinking damn these dudes are dope af and can spit! And at that time I was into skating and right away thinking I can relate to these dude. I also remember watching they’re funny freestyle videos on KZbin laughing cause they’re just regular guys trynna make it. Dope af. S/o to Hopsin, Dizzy, SwizZz, Jarren & Hoppa for the memories! 🙏🙏

Thanks. This is definitely something I needed right now. Life has been crazy. Constantly getting bad news and when I overcome it then it is like I did what I needed to and would have made it through the problem, but there are these sets of rules that push me back. At this point i'm probably going to be homeless because I don't qualify to apply for an apartment even though I make enough to get it. I hate the way this world is set up.
