Levemir had no side effects and it was perfect for me. I can’t take the other insulins on the market because of their side effects. Levemir was taken off the market in the US. I think this decision was made because of the US government policy, forcing companies to lower the price of insulin. 😢

If you are able to reach that failure threshold within the 90 second window, then yes, but that is the usually the case. You could try pre-fatiguing the muscles somehow, like he uses wall seats to pre-fatigue the quads.

Consider that we type 1 do not have a blood glucose disease. Blood glucose dis-requlation is caused by insulin deficiency or insulin over-dose. We cannot live without insulin regardless of blood glucose targets. The adult type 1 population has a different challenge from the child type 1 in that the child's doctors are not trying to replace their insulin withT2 drugs that only address the blood glucose while ignoring the need for insulin. The number of adult type 1 (often called LADA) damaged or killed by these kinds of short-sighted care is large. The guidance for children needs to be fixed AND the poor treatment for adults needs to STOP. This is not being "Finger-pointy". Diet and the proper management combined. The number of adult type 1 driven into DKA or treated as type 2 cannot continue. I'll do a lot more than be "finger pointy" for the large number of practitioners who refuse to address this real travesty.

@@grumpyinbrooklyn6347 So Sorry you had to go through this. We have a LADA group and over 60% (that is not a typo) were misdiagnosed and mistreated for a significant period. Some of those for years. This is a disgrace in how this is swept under the rug.

Protein is a steady source of carbohydrate. The body builds up tissue and the body breaks down tissue. The breakdown products make a study source of glucose.

What, if any, studies (good or dodgy) have shown an association between high LDL and risk of stroke. I swear doctors are now moving to this narrative due to the push back around the link to heart attacks! I haven’t found anything, but my doctor assured me that high LDL is a big risk factor for a stroke.

i've had UC for 12 years. it started as pancolitis. i think "moderate". never had to be hospitalize fortunately. i went to bat with diet from the beginning, doing Specific Carbohydrate Diet for a few years. now it's come back and i'm doing carnivore instead. think im almost in remission now. both times it seems like dietary intervention put the disease into remission in 3-4 months (wish it was only a week). i continue to use mesalamine too.

This video and one from Ken Berry have inspired me to take the plunge. I’ll keep my fingers crossed for both of us! Best wishes on your journey.

Carnivore has been life-changing for me. I too have UC, now down to a few watery stools per day instead of 20+ before starting carnivore. Im 1.5 years into carnivore. It has taken a while to see which carnivore foods aggravate my symptoms, like eggs, pork and chicken. Be patient and stick with it. I finally feel nourished, stronger, clear-headed and mentally stronger than before carnivore when I was at my lowest.
