I agree with keeping an primate as a pet.. You see it so much n people support it.. its not fair on the monkey/primates.. Its very unhealthy for them... They are being stolen from the mother! You see this heavily in China/ Cambodia/Vietnam etc.... They abuse them n KZbin allows it.... Sick... Thank you zoo keepers for helping them!

I so much enjoyed this video i really would give anything to be a volunteer zookeeper mainly for the monkeys. Chimps, all of them. I just loved what the keeper spoke about how people use and abuse thez beautiful living, loving, compassionate creaters. I just am in awe of the things i have learned from watching videos of what True Family and Love really is . And i learned it from all the videos and documentaries of them in the wild. I would go anywhere on gods green earth to help save them and help keep them safe from human evil along with mother nature evil. I thank all who does do this and all the zookeeper's everywhere for loving these animals the way they all so DESERVE. 🐵🙏🐵🙏

First off if chimpanzees live almost three times longer as a pet then wild chimpanzees. Cheetah the chimp was 80 years old and lived as a pet his whole life. Chimps live to be 65 in zoos and 29 in the wild. So obviously the wild is not the only place for chimpanzees. Could it be that some chimps are better off in the wild, some in zoos and some as pets? Why is always one way with these people? Lack knowledge and understanding maybe? Or are they more militant? Militant from i can tell. They’re right and everyone else is wrong! Disagree with these people and they belittle you and call you names! These people are what i call primate-nazis!

Na it's not them that's wrong, it's you. Your argument is ridiculous, primates live longer in captive situations because their habitat and food supply is not at risk from logging, they are not being butchered for bush meat and so that their young can be taken and sold to people like you who think it's fine to keep a wild animal as pet. Most wild animals kept as pets are exploited to make money out of them. They are taught to do unnatural things like smile, kiss and hug people and tourists who are having their photo taken with them. They are taught to smoke and drink beer cos it's considered funny all the while wearing human clothes which is not natural. The teaching of these tricks is not pleasant and is based on a relationship of fear between the primate and the exploiter/owner of that animal. In larger primates it is usually a relationship based on being violent to the animal whilst the animal is restrained and can't fight back, that's how it's kept in its place. That's the reason most people give up their actual pet primates (the ones you see on instagram dressed up like humans doing human or cute poses, still exploited, still being used to make money just not so blatantly cruel) its because they become physically too hard to handle as they get bigger and hormonal changes make them act more like the wild animal they are. How is it better for these captive animals, its not, its just a longer life of misery and exploitation that's all.

Also note that I made my argument without any name calling which you stated is what usually happens when we militant primate Nazi types happen to disagree with you.

Yes the zoo keeper who looks after these chimps know, as does the nutritionist she mentioned. Why don't you ask them, you know the actual experts as opposed to the armchair ones on KZbin.

Dont ever trust chimps! theyre basically us with no limits, or inhibition of violence or concern for consequences. they are smart but never evolve much past that of a child, which is why they get violent so fast. they never develope patience or reasoning. its why they fall 2% short of our dna. so have one for a pet if you want but dont complain if after 15-20yrs of loving & caring for him then suddenly find your torn, bloody, nuts in its mouth. you can at least say you know where that last 2% went!! you cant attach human emotions to animals. they dont have 'em.

Why not ask Curiosity on Mars , if there is life on the planet. How about recording a film on Mars instead of always taking pictures ? Then you can see if it is moving. Why has noone ever thought of that idea ? Last time i saw 2 pictures from Mars they really had moved ! Life ? Of course !

I forgot to mention that since I’m a volunteer docent, I have also become very good in knowing what is normal animal behavior and what is not. It allows me to know if I need to notify the keepers or not. I don’t get paid for what I do. I volunteer because I enjoy it. I love hanging out with the animals and seeing what they are doing.

Rally Boyd I am a docent at another zoo and they usually don’t feed them meat. Still, even in the wild, they are primarily vegetarians.

Probably not because they usually cannabalize a victim of another tribe. They also want eat meat they didn't kill. If they see an animal get killed they want eat it. Only if one of them kill it will they eat it.

Typical bullshit from a liberal university in a state that hates its own country, the USA. We are NOT 'lagging behind' other countries in math/science. Other countries LIE about their level of competency in anything. You hire an INDIAN for a compsci job and if you interview that Indian over the phone, you SERIOUSLY risk the following: a RINGER takes the interview. So over 20 years of experiencing this baloney, I have learned to meet or have one of my managers meet that indian at the door when he shows up for the job, and ask him a single question: Tell me what a variable is. You'll know in one minute whether or not the person you interviewed is the person who shows up. Of course, given we are talking about INDIANS, you also have to make sure you have 100s of questions and that you never pick the same question to ask. Why not? Because there are 100s of websites with lists of questions and 'approved' answers written by other indians. Apparently, Indians do not see ETHICS as absolutely essential for their lives. This is also true of China and Japan, but for different reasons. With Indians, they do not respect Americans (or Europeans, etc.) but that is based on jealousy. With chinese/japanese they believe that there is not such thing as a 'locked in steel' contract agreement and there is absolutely no such thing as ABSOLUTE TRUTH. Call me a bigot, but I know this from working in computer technology since the age of 12, or 54 years now. If you are AMERICAN do NOT believe that USA is 'behind' in ANYTHING. WE ARE NOT. Only the red diaper doper baby professors spew that hater of self to fellow Americans. As to science being the 'be all end all' for women, for example. WOMEN are SMARTER than MEN and we have, generally speaking, a much bigger worldview that is not limited by 'math or science'. We ARE the purveyors of SOCIETY, after all. THINK FOR YOURSELF, kids, but do NOT let ANYONE, not even ME, tell you what 'is reality'. Discover it for yourself, but do not be led astray by the sheeple 'professors'. GOD will speak to your and show you your raison d'etre if you open yourself to HEAR HIM.
