It's amazing how far Zwift has come. Now I'm curious as to whether Zwift was the catalyst for the controllable trainer resistance, or if it was a separate development that just happened to play well with what Zwift was doing.

Hey Johnathan, I know this is many many years later but was your doctor James Saunders? I’m wondering if he is the same Saunders that operated on me just last week.

I had a recent pinky finger operation, with a small plate inside. Straightening it with help is no trouble. Keeping it straight on its own is not happening yet. Once I release tension, it flops. I can, with effort, grip the bike handle. It's straightening it that feels helpless. I was cautious immediately after the operation, but it is bent even more. The physical therapists had similar excercises, but I'm looking for visual examples.

Thank you for sharing. I had the same injury on my pinky also. I chose not to go for surgery but a wore a splint instead. Took a year for my finger to heal but this video instruction is even helpful. Thanks again.

My pinkie artery was cut and now I can’t move it. I’m so fucking stressed. I wanna do joy jitsu but sometimes I can’t even grip the gi so I’m thinking about an orthopedic surgery but I feel like it will take too long for me to gain the strength back. I heard it will take 6-8 months.

I just had surgery on my pinky finger September 27. They put pins in it to hold it together. I have had zero follow-up care with the doctor since then. I did go into the office to have the wrap changed, as it was getting dirty. When the nurse changed the wrap, I feel like she put the finger in a different position and now I’ve been an incredible pain for the past three days. The doctor does not get back into the office until next week. But I feel like I should’ve been put in a cast. It’s a lot of work to take the rap on and off to wash your face or do anything and I don’t want the pins to get caught and get yanked out because I cannot afford to pay out of pocket for another surgery. I will not be able to afford physical therapy on this finger. I wish you would upload more videos on What exercises to do. Did they ever put you in a hard cast?
@asyriajames21002 жыл бұрын
You got your pins on the same day I had mine removed. It was the best day ever. I broke my wrist & pinky finger. They put a plate in my wrist & pins in the pinky finger. They put a huge bandage over my hand, it literally looked like a boxing glove & they had me in a cast/splint until the pins came out. It has been a few weeks now & my pinky is still swollen, I can barely bend it. When I start doing more exercises on it, I will let you know which ones my PT will have me doing.

Hello! You used Erg mode... Did you changed gears? I did the same test in Erg mode but used the shifter. I'm not sure I did the right thing. Thank you!
@jpait2 жыл бұрын
Yes. The thing you learn about ERG mode is that you should not use the shifter. You should chose a cadence and stay in it - the power will adjust to your cadence. What I did was try to increase power by spinning faster. Of course, the power remained the same, but my cadence went bonkers!

Hi, if you fold front passemger seat, can you get the whole bike in without taking off front wheel? Thanx
@jpait3 жыл бұрын
You can slide the passenger seat forward and then lay the bicycle on its side with both wheels attached. I have actually found that I carry the bicycle this way more than with the stand... only you don’t have much room for anything else.

@jpait3 жыл бұрын
@@youareamazingyesyou5880 Yes. The Jazz is the Fit. Personally liked the styling of the Jazz better, but we don’t have them in the US. The configuration of my Fit was made between 2009 and 2014. I’m not certain, but I think the newest version is slightly smaller inside.

Impressive ride, I am not convinced the Zwift FTP test is accurate, I have been lab tested at about 20% higher. The trainer may also make a big difference?
@jpait3 жыл бұрын
I have found the test to be in the ballpark and agrees with other FTP “estimators” such as Strava. I would agree that there are percentage differences, just not major. Power is power - so whether your tool for measurement is accurate is important. 20% is a bit! As part of a new KZbin series, I’m going to do another test to kick it off. I’ll be interested to see how it goes. Ride On!

Did you have surgery on it? I just had surgery on my pinky finger and I’ve got pins sticking out of it. They put me in a wrap But I definitely feel like it needs to be cast since I have to have it wrapped up for the next 8 weeks. I have had the worst follow up care since I have no idea about this journey. But according to the KZbin videos I’ve been watching when you have pins in your hand you should have it cast and not be in that wrap like I am 😔
