It does work amazing for drone use. I will have to talk to my bro and see if that is possible. We have not given it much thought tbh. We do have another version we are currently working on right now that we probably will sell. It's a smaller build and a completely different style. You may like it a lot better. It only displays the weather widgets and still has all of the functionality for flying drones including the LED. But again, if you don't fly, it would sit nicely on an end table as a conversational piece. I am liking the new design just as much tbh.

@@JoeysClones The projection you see is actual footage from Disney World projected on the castle. Because the castle is replicated to scale, it matches what you would actually see there. Funny you bring up the fireworks. We put a translucent sheet behind the Castle now and you now actually see the fireworks go off above it. Lol

@@mars3142 We would be completely embarrassed to share our code. It is a convoluted mess in our eyes. However, if you have TikTok, there is a person motioned and I think we added it to the comments that has open source code that runs 5 displays. It's not geared towards drone pilots but it's a great starting point. I also think he will be selling kits to make it easy to make a basic 5 display project. He has a discord also. You can see what the original open source code does. That is the code we started with. But had to rewrite the entire thing for six displays, custom colors and added widgets and LEDs.

There are 3 ways of doing it that I know about. You can connect your Quest 3 to a PC and run a BAT file. You can use SideQuest and run a few command lines, or what I did in this video, you can use an app on your headset called Quest Game Optimizer. All 3 ways will allow you to record 3D Spatial Videos until you reboot your headset. I like the 3rd method. I can do it on the fly away from my home. I just need to adjust the settings so the video is not stretched but still in landscape.

The projection show on this video was called "Celebrate the Magic". I believe this was the show that replaced "Wishes" at the end of every night. Then I think they switched it to "Once Upon a Time" and at the end of the night is "Happily Ever After" We have not been there in a couple years so it may be something different now.

We project all of them on our replica castle, which is what you see on our castle in the video. Just only showed "Celebrate the Magic on this video. We have one other video but I don't think it's public. People thought it switched to the real castle but that is still the 3D printed replica.

Hi Shay... Thank you! The animation is actually 4k videos of the actual night time shows recorded at Disney World. I used a projector to project it over my castle and because the replica turned out so close to the real thing, it mapped almost perfectly. Hope this answered your questions. Thanks again

Are you asking how much in total did it cost to build with the projector? Or how much the model was. The model can be found on thingiverse for free.

There are a few methods of cutting up a model. The program I used has not been updated in years. If you do a search on cutting up an STL file, you will find many tutorials.

Calibrate the Magic was a show Disney World used to have but had since been retired. What your seeing is 4K footage captured from Disney World. That is how we display all of the night time shows including "Happily Ever After" and "Once Upon a Time" There is a model available on thingiverse but it is not friendly when trying to scale it. There is some problems with it. This model you see here took many many many months and unfortunately, I am not able to share the file per an agreement with Disney. I can point you in the right direction if you have questions

@@florianthesnow lol I love your excitement. Disney only got involved after they looked at the video and informed me that it would be wise not to share the files. That were pulling all 3D printer files from thingiverse and other locations at the time so I got the hint. I was even warned by many well known Disney forums how aggressive they are protecting their property and their copyrights. They also notified me when the youtube video got posted that they had the right to pull the video down. I guess they liked it because they informed me I could keep it up as long as it was not monetized. Lol wowzer

I think letting people have fun with this kind of stuff acts like a big promotion because when I watch a video like that, I want to go to the parks. But maybe that’s just me. Thanks for the update! It is not a program at all, it is 4k video of the accrual shows they use on the real castle, projected on the model.

@@JayceRea you want something with a close throw distance I think it is called. You want the opposite of what people would buy a projector to do. The image only needs to big enough to cover the castle. LED and 4k would be optimal.

We took our daughter, our first kid to Disney World for the first time at the beginning of February before all this craziness and we had the perfect spot in front of the partner statue in the middle of the hub on a kind of cold but clear night. Seeing her face light up in awe made everything worth it. We're having twin girls in a few weeks (or sooner!) so we'll be doing it all again in 2 or 3 years! You should definitely do the happily ever after show. I'd love to print this so I can try something like this too. Thank you very much Stephen. My family wants to visit China one day. They have that same Crystal Castle at Disney World in Florida in which we were also inspired to make our own. So we completely understand how you feel. Because we project night time shows on the castle, (Wishes, Once Upon a Time, Happily Ever After, Celebrate the Magic, as seen in the video, we decided not to paint it or add anything to it. I cant imagine paying $263,000 for that. I know it is worth it, but not on my budget. Take care and stay healthy
