The projector gets up to 24-80 inches but the projector itself is 4.7”x3.4”x1.9. Is this a good one or should I look for a different one? What is your opinion? I am very jealous! Before I decided to make this, I looked around to buy a replica. Besides the Olezewski and the Lego version, there wasn't much left. I wanted it a one a bit bigger so I made my own, but the Olszewski is amazing! I'm not sure if the mini meer is good or not. I went with a Brookstone model because of the Lumes. (100 on mine). Makes the graphics pop. Another issue is how close you have to put the projector to line it up. Most projectors are setup to project a large screen with the projector far away. You are looking for the opposite. I purchased 3 different projectors until I found this one I am currently using currently that suited my needs. (returned the others) I wish it did 1080P or even 4K but that's out of my budget also. That's right... white curtain sheers! That goes behind the castle. When the fireworks shoot up, if gives this realistic look that is not flat but you can still see details. What model did you use?!? I've been trying to print the Cinderella castle for soooo long!
@bjohns045 жыл бұрын
Hello Cameron... I used this model as a base but it took me a while to fix it in order to print is successfully after slicing the model. www.thingiverse.com/thing:127748

Bob Johnston were you getting the same slicing error I was getting?? Where certain things were missing and would refuse to print?
@bjohns045 жыл бұрын
@@CameronLimonta Yes! It was a nightmare to try to print. All of my go to slicers did not work. I had to use the one mentioned in the video. But keep in mind... I scaled it, then repaired each file, then printed with that slicer. I'm currently in line at Disney waiting to get on Flight of Passage so I will try to continue answering your questions while I wait

Bob Johnston oh wow you’re a CFL local too? That’s awesome! I work at Universal haha, but yeah by repairing what do you mean by that?
@bjohns045 жыл бұрын
@@CameronLimonta Actually I am not. drove 17 hours to get there :) After you slice the files, they were not able to be printed. You have to repair each file which is where all of the work comes in. BTW... I have a son who would LOVE to work at Universal. Are they hiring?

I can most certainly help you work through the projector and give you the files for the bridge I just printed. Unfortunately I can't share my files for the Castle but can provide a link to the base fille to work with if you don't have it already.

can you please post where to get the files please we would really appreciate thanks

I can point you to where I got the original that has been up for a while. However, I am holding off on sharing my files because of 2 reasons. I am not 100% happy with a couple, (Still working on them) and the main reason is Disney has become VERY strict with their models as of late. Although the model says "Fixed", please be sure to read the comments and the made section. www.thingiverse.com/thing:127748 Hope this helps

Awesome, thanks you so much :) :) :)

Hey James... It took a LOT of work, but we used the file that Wolfgang pointed you too as a base file. Lots of scaling, slicing, fixing and more fixing and more fixing :) Disney seemed to let Gluetolf's STL file stay up on thingiverse, but Disney has recently gotten very strict with their models. I have received a few warnings already recommending I do not post the files. For this reason i am a bit reserved to share the files.

Spoken like a true Disney Fan! You make me sound like a robot Jennie :) Have you ever thought about trying to make one yourself? It does take a lot of time and a small bit of money to get started, but the reward is priceless. I can point you in the right direction just can't supply the files to print.

Thank You PolarBear... The one I used as a base file is actually this one: www.thingiverse.com/thing:127748 Please keep in mind the files on Thingiverse need to be fixed to print properly. Even though this one and the one you linked to say "Fixed" They are not. I could not print ether one of the models there successfully when trying to scale. Took me many many months slicing and fixing to get the one shown here. The one in the video is 41 STL files. For anyone going to print the link above, please take the time to read the comments on Thingiverse and look at the Makes of other that have printed one. I am not trying to brag, just trying to save people some aggravation and disappointment. Here is the link to "makes" and the link to the one I printed. You will see the difference.
