Bird flu fearporn is working for TWiV's paymasters: Shares of vaccine stocks Moderna, Novavax, and BioNTech rallied this week. While these three stocks gained notoriety back in 2020 during the COVID-19 pandemic, it appears this week's detection of avian bird flu in a second U.S. citizen and the first-ever detection of avian flu in a human in Australia are spurring fears of an outbreak and thus a possible boon for companies that can quickly produce a bird flu vaccine.

Long Covid in kids. Recent UK reports show significant increases, currently 111,800 (a 36% increase since Dec 2023) & the UK govt is doing NOTHING to hinder infections: no vaccinations, no improvement in ventilation in schools. Absolute madness with the risk of future chronic health problems.

Covid projections in USA. KP.2 now accounts for 28% of infections. KP.2 is driving significant increases elsewhere (UK & Singapore for example, and big rises in Australia and NZ). I hope the USA is different but I doubt it!!!

Marcus Magnus on the case of Microbes big and small. What? Damn you are handsome. You look like one of your students without facial hair. Cellular Topology? Damn...you are great You Tube. Again please watch Mark with an AI Big Data machine at the ready. "He is going to take us down thur there.". From George Sands La Palude del Diavolo: chatGPT notes: Cellular topology refers to the spatial and structural organization of cells within a tissue or the arrangement of cellular components within a single cell. This concept is crucial in understanding various biological processes and the overall function of tissues and organs. Here are some key aspects of cellular topology: 1. **Cellular Arrangement in Tissues:** - **Epithelial Tissues:** These tissues have a tightly packed cellular structure forming continuous sheets. The cells are often arranged in layers (simple or stratified) with different shapes (squamous, cuboidal, or columnar). - **Connective Tissues:** Cells are more loosely organized and embedded in an extracellular matrix, providing structural support and mediating biochemical interactions. - **Muscle Tissues:** Muscle cells (fibers) are elongated and aligned in parallel arrays to facilitate contraction. - **Nervous Tissues:** Composed of neurons and glial cells, with a complex network of synapses for signal transmission. 2. **Cell Polarity:** - Many cells exhibit polarity, with distinct structural and functional differences between their apical (top), basal (bottom), and lateral (side) surfaces. This is especially prominent in epithelial cells. - Apical surfaces may have specialized structures like microvilli or cilia, while basal surfaces are often anchored to a basement membrane. 3. **Cell Junctions:** - **Tight Junctions:** Seal cells together in an epithelial sheet to prevent leakage of molecules. - **Adherens Junctions:** Connect the actin cytoskeleton of neighboring cells. - **Desmosomes:** Provide mechanical stability by linking intermediate filaments of adjacent cells. - **Gap Junctions:** Allow direct communication between cells by permitting the passage of small molecules and ions. 4. **Extracellular Matrix (ECM):** - The ECM is a network of proteins and polysaccharides outside cells that provides structural support and regulates various cellular functions such as adhesion, migration, and differentiation. - Different tissues have distinct ECM compositions, influencing their topology and mechanical properties. 5. **Organelle Arrangement:** - Within individual cells, the spatial organization of organelles is crucial for cellular function. For instance, the positioning of the nucleus, mitochondria, Golgi apparatus, and endoplasmic reticulum is often non-random and functionally significant. - The cytoskeleton (microtubules, actin filaments, and intermediate filaments) plays a key role in maintaining organelle positioning and cellular morphology. 6. **Signaling Pathways:** - The topology of signaling pathways within cells can determine how signals are transmitted and processed. For example, the spatial arrangement of receptors, enzymes, and scaffolding proteins can affect the efficiency and specificity of signal transduction. Understanding cellular topology is essential for insights into development, disease mechanisms, tissue engineering, and regenerative medicine. Advanced imaging techniques, computational modeling, and molecular biology methods are often employed to study and manipulate cellular topology.

Benjamin Franklin had gout? That relieves me..."great men" get ill, it sounds comforting somehow...It's all lies though. It's (mostly, like most illnesses) caused by people eating and drinking too much and or smoking. I stopped drinking any alcohol some years ago. I don't miss it. In British novels I read or US novels, everyone is drinking as soon as they get home or taking drugs (not proscribed) that harm them, not exercising enough and so on. So it is human behaviour that is something to look at, as much as the medical stuff. But Franklin, it has always fascinated me his sending a kite up in an electrical storm! He was almost a case of curiosity killing the cat...still one has to admire him for getting out in the storm....being so interested....

Re: about the articles brought up. I would worry about the overuse of nitrogen fixing. Sounds great but there is a general notice on the use of nitrogen fixing plants and their effects on effluent. You can end up with dead bodies of water similar to what happened to lakes and the use of detergents. Sediment full rivers changed banks readily in ancient civilizations. And it wasn't the only reason the cities moved. In the Tigres and Euphrates river basins, the issue of poor drainage, often led to salt incursion in these areas leading to changes in plants with different salt tolerances. An issue that still hurts farmers. The locations of cities can be quite distant to todays rivers. Lastly, a Spaniard was inspired to create his own sparkling wines after visiting Champagne using their methods. They use the Macabeo, Parellada and Xarel·lo grape varieties mostly with Chardonnay and Malvasia, Garnacha tinta, Monastrell, Trepat, and Pinot Noir being officially allowed (thanx wiki). Called Cava. The UK call their stuff sparkling wine but the taste is basically champagne. The Japanese make award winning whisky.

Thanks Marcus Magnus. Of course I want to use "martial language" for everyone and everything. Proximity notes: Davies and his collaborators have provided evidence that low, non-lethal concentrations of antibiotics often induce changes in bacterial gene expression patterns, development, and behavior. They propose that a major role of these "antibacterial" compounds in nature may be for non-lethal communication, cooperation, and management of behavior within complex microbial populations, akin to quorum sensing. Some key points from Davies' work: Naturally occurring antibiotics can modulate transcription of many cellular functions at sub-inhibitory concentrations in bacteria. Numerous examples show sub-MICs of antibiotics increase or decrease exoprotein production, virulence, biofilm formation, motility, and horizontal gene transfer in bacteria. Davies argues these compounds act as signaling molecules regulating gene expression and interactions within microbial communities, rather than just as therapeutic antibiotics. This challenges the traditional view of antibiotics solely as antimicrobial agents and suggests they play a broader role in microbial communication and cooperation in nature. I am once against 25 years late.

How long before the self-amplifying shots stop replicating mRNA like a photocopier? Is spike then produced ongoing for years? This could turn out the most egregious violation of the pandemic. Talk about a void of bioethics. And this is not in the least to be compared to a synthetic virus. Viruses can be inhibited, but this genetic shot is a horse of a different color. How was this possibly approved in Japan, of all places?! This should inspire a tourism boycott of Japan.

chatGPT: The word "immune" derives from the Latin word "immunis," which means "exempt" or "free from public service or obligation." The Latin "immunis" is a combination of the prefix "in-" (meaning "not") and "munis" (related to "munus," meaning "duty" or "service"). Thus, "immunis" literally means "not subject to duty" or "exempt from obligation." Over time, this concept evolved to refer to being exempt from disease, giving us the modern sense of "immune." The reason that is important is munis is used in many ways in all linguistique régions. Community, Présidentiel Immunité, municipalité.... Só thé im- Is not in- of latín. Só Immunité prevents what ever It is that would cause illness to not "communicate" to not join in "community" and to not continue to replicate. I have to read your transcriptions each episode. It can take me months to completely watch some épisodes; if not all episodes. While that proves I am not bright, a personal problem, It also prevents me from walking up and down the street with a popular medical rag rolled up in my right hand with the left fist up lifted crying out "Beware, Do Not Vacinate!'. Or saying any other half baked debunked scientific theories, rumors, lies, and half lies that are flowing from house to house like storm waters rushing out of a Chinese lab (a communal problem.)

I'm a perpetual student as well. I wouldn't get anything done either if I watched the video, but what I do is listen to the audio only with my ear buds in so I can multitask. On occasion there's a visual, so I'll pause for that, but most of the time I glean a lot from only listening. I hope you aren't hearing impaired, relying on seeing the closed captions. Didn't you folks just express concern about the lack of information about how long the "self replicating " vaccine replicates ? But right away you are discussing how to allay the publics fears about such a vaccine . Perhaps either enough research hasn't been done or it wasn't available to you folks in this discussion . I sure would want this vaccine . Also it may be a lower initial dose but then it replicates so perhaps the main advantage is less of the lipids that on TWIV were described as similar to but different from naturally occurring lipids . Maybe I missed it but does this vaccine cause the cells to create the spike protein just like mRNA vaccines ?

Liquid nitrogen -320 F Don't the COVID 19 mRNA vaccines have to be stored at -90 F ? Why is there no mention of the corbevax (sp?) vaccine developed by Dr Peter Hotez etc al which can be stored in a normal refrigerator ? What is the efficacy of this vaccine vs the mRNA vaccines (as verified by independent tests ) ? If you made corbevax available in The US you would save a lot of taxpayer and patient money and perhaps many people would get it who were afraid of the mRNA vaccines . Are we doing what is best for the country ?
