interesting floater. did you make it yourself ? if not, where did you buy it?
@TropicLens3 сағат бұрын
Indeed, it is different! I didn't (couldn't, really) make it myself; but I did work with a dive shop in the US to have it made. There were actually quite a few comments about it, so I ended up making a video about it. kzbin.info/www/bejne/mHPMhHtmeJmDmKM That has all of the information includes specifications if you want to make one yourself as well as a couple of resources to have one made. Hope this helps and let us know how you like it if you end up making/getting one.

@TropicLensКүн бұрын
We're glad you like The Shore Dive Collection, David. When we were in Aruba, it was right after the Covid related lockdown, so quite a few dive shops were not yet open as there weren't enough visitors to support all of them. That said, we dove regularly with Pure Diving Aruba and JADS. By now, there are probably shops open in the north; but we are not familiar with any. Sorry.

@@TropicLens thank you! I thought you had a TG-6 and was curious if that was what captured the Shaun the Sheep nudi photo in the video. I just destroyed my old sealife dc2000 so am trying to decide whether to invest in a housing for my fujifilm mirrorless X-T200 camera or buy a TG-6 to replace the sealife camera. We spent last summer in Bonaire and are in Curacao this summer and your shore diving videos are so helpful. We watch them almost every night to prepare for the next days’s dives.

@@TropicLens yep. It only works with 13mm camera and in 24mm it’s just all blur. Tested on Blackmagic camera app, native iOS app and CinemaP3. I’m just wondering if other wet wide lenses would work with main camera. Maybe something less extreme than 0.6 would do, idk

Nice tips. I have the WFL03 for macro. But it's dificult to focus with the iOS app. Do you use another app like Filmic Pro? On the other hand, how do you manage depth changes with the float? If the sea bottom is very irregular, don't you have to continually adjust the air inside? I really like your content. You are the only one in YT who has created this type of customizations for the Divevolk.
@TropicLens15 күн бұрын
Glad you found them useful, Adrián. With respect to apps, I, too, do not like the focus capabilities of the native iOS camera app; so I have been using the Blackmagic Cam app. Not only does it allow you to manually control the focus; but there are a ton of other nice features like Focus Assist. And its free! Regarding the float, yes I it has to be inflated going down and deflated going up, otherwise the rig gets too heavy/light, respectively. Generally, I make changes every 10 feet (3m) of depth or so. It's not for everyone; but I like it. :-) Thank you for the kind words. We'll keep making videos.

To inflate the bag you just blow into it? Do you have to custom order it, or is it a product they just sell on the site?
@TropicLensАй бұрын
First off, great name! Not sure if that is your given name or you chose it for KZbin, but love Standish. With respect to the bag, yes, the bag will need some additional air going down and purging on the way up. It is a custom bag. I worked with Dive Right In Scuba on the bag’s features and they have it down. You can reach them at [email protected]. Ask for Greg. They should be able to replicate it easily. Alternatively, if you are in Europe, it might be easier/closer to reach out to Tomi Nieminen at [email protected]. That would also be custom. Hope this helps.
