Wonderful summary of the lake! This was our very first dive site we dived on Bonaire! Love this place

I really appreciate that your videos include not just fish and crustaceans but ALL the animals found on coral reefs, including the sponges, cnidarians, echinoderms, and mollusks

Thank you so much for noticing! While the fish and coral are fun, all the other life gives a reef character.

Excellent! There are soooo many great spots. The weather's been a bit rainy and windy lately, but Red Slave is also an excellent site to try if conditions are favorable. :-)

Yes...all those gorgonians and they're pretty shallow. There is so much to see at night.

Yeah, sorry about that. Needed some down time. Working on Aquarius now and our first equipment tips & tricks video for the Divevolk. Could be interesting... :-)

The Lake is one of my favs. Relaxing dive. Just a bit of trivia - longtime Bonaire folks know that it was originally called Lake Bowker or Bowker Lake after Bruce Bowker, one of the pioneering conservationists of Bonaire and a former CPT Dons employee.

Thank you so much for the additional information and sharing it in the comments for others Tommy. We do post updates once in a while, so we'll include that next time. :-)

Love your channel-- I've watched so many of your videos! As a snorkeler I so appreciate the notes about snorkeling access and suitability. Your creature ID is second to none. Keep up the amazing work!❤

Thank you so much for the kind words. Someone a year or two ago asked that we include snorkeling info, so we we added that. (I think it was when we started the Curaçao videos.) Thank you for appreciating the ID as well. When we looked at "highlight" dive videos, we noticed that few do that and thought it would be nice to share a little knowledge...and build up our own ID skills as well. :-)

@@TropicLens the snorkeling tips are SO helpful, since there are very few resources for that. I understand Bonaire is truly a diver's paradise, but it's really helpful to know as snorkelers whether a site is more dive-appropriate or good for both. Love learning about new species, and especially whether it's an uncommon sighting.
