It looks like the yarn is not moving all the way up and down through the 'slotted guide' as it should after the first couple of turns. I am finding it hard to see why it isn't (even when I slow the video down). Perhaps it would be worth winding it slowly while carefully watching to see why it is not winding up and down the full height of the slotted guide and instead reversing direction halfway through the cycle?

Great solution(s) for that short warp thread! Also I am definitely in the "symmetrical, ordered, predictable" camp as well. That said, the color change in blanket 2, where you changed yarns, is wonderful!

In Canada, we can buy them at a craft supply store. Do you have such stores in South Africa. Amazon would likely have it as well. Does your country have Amazon? Look under loom and see if it comes up. You could also construct one too.

It's double crochet and single crochet ... a chain is just yarn over and pull through. DC and SC are named for their height. A DC is twice the height of a SC. (Hoping I'm coming across as helpful and not critical or pedantic...)

I have looked for a good video on this for months - yours has been the best I've found. I do have a question for you - do you use a tension box when you have more than 8 strands? I do have the bobbin and spool rack. I'd really like to do some dish towels, but I'm somewhat intimidated by everything as it is so very different from my rigid heddle looms. I have wound all the bobbins for the towels I've planned, but I'm not real sure what to do with the tension box.
@kanika3790Ай бұрын
Thank you for the compliment. I too am a bit intimidated by the tension box. I have used the same method in my video for 24 EPI cotton to make dish towels. I hope to try out a tension box this summer. If I can figure it out I plan to make a video on it. Wish me luck!
