I AGREE - 100% ON EVERYTHING mentioned. Please bring back the Double/Muti-Exposure feature. That is such an easy firmware tweak. With just software, Sony has the power to easily pull even larger chunks of Fuji, Lumix, Nikon, and Canon Shooters. The only reason I consider any of the other brands is 90% because of software features.

@0:51min into clip i've noticed from other F/1.4's it adds alittle weight to the subject (canon and here Sony) but other than that noy very much difference....just the added weight the f/1.2 leave's the subject alittle slimmer in the facial features, also@5:05min .....thank you.

I'm a sony user, but I like how Canon solved the autofocus. When there are more people in the frame and the camera registers them, it would be great to be able to switch which people the camera focuses on. That's how Canon has it. The figure in the center is sharp for me (I can see by the eye frame), but I would switch to next person with a button. This could be an alternative solution, for example, to the auto aputura......or?

I would like to see the results from a portrait session in some caffée where the decor matters and accessories/ coffee could be seen in details. Also would like to see the use of this lense in a beauty products commercial- that could be something 🥳

However, regarding the Eye AF on the A7 III if you use third-party lenses this fn is not available.

Stupid question... On the Sony A7III it doesn't have the real time eye auto tracking like on your A7IV. So when tracking a subject you just get a double green box around the subject for tracking. But, where on the persons body is it actually acquiring the focus? I'm just curious how it works with low apertures.

Another big use for iPads is using them to show photos to your couples to give them a visual of the poses you’re going for. Of the 150+ weddings I’ve done, I have only seen 1 photographer do this. They had a shoulder strap and easily just whipped it out during bridal party/couples portraits and everyone loved it, including us (videographers).

I mean why on earth we still need to have to use SD cards with no option to use internal memory. With these prices of camera bodies it is more than possible to put an SSD with 1TB with insane speeds above 1000 MB/s. I am not saying SD cards are bad- they are still needed. No option for serious internal storage baffles me

The face detection AF or multiple zone AF will be amazing. I remember back in the film days Canon had the DEP mode with EOS 630 (yes over 30 years ago) and that was the feature that made buy that camera years later when I was able to afford a used one. Incredible that none of the cameras have similar feature even today. I’m also bummed that silent mode is kind of useless indoors in the a7iv. I would also like 8 stop IBIS

Ask them to bring back in camera panorama’s while you’re at it! It’s nuts that a phone can do it but an A1 flagship camera cannot.

Ok I thought of one... I want to be able to hold a button and trigger my flash no matter what my current settings are at a set iso / aperture / shutter speed... like a custom hold function. It's surely just a firmware thing. For some reason you can't turn the flash off in PSAM from what I can see in the menu.... Use Case - I am shooting natural light in AV but I want a flash shot of the same thing... Currently, I have to either switch from AV to Manual, then turn on my flash or trigger... Moment's gone... if I could just hold a button - the flash could always be on (just not triggered if we could turn the shoe off in a C1-C3 with AV etc.... I hold down my custom button and fire a shot which has ISO 100 1/250 / F7.1 for example and just fires off.... I release and we go back to shooting natural light. Literally takes less than 1/2 a second.... During confetti I'd like to do both but could take too long to swap modes as the couple walks towards me... Currently I need 2 bodies really for that, and even that is slower...

I DJ weddings mostly. And for a while after the photographer leaves, I took photos on my A74 whilst I had a DJI Osmo Pocket 3 mounted to my Sony so I could grab photo and video. Although recently I've been mainly shooting video with my Sony of the day as I find video is better value to myself and the couple. If im purely shooting for socials, I just shoot in 1080p. I recently been having serious lag issues with the buffer if I do decide to take a couple of snaps. Like, if I have been recording and I've saved a bunch of video, the buffer takes forever to clear. It's odd, I use the tough v60 cards and its only 1080 short video clips for the most part In Aus, there are a lot of companies that do both photo and video. Typically at least one for each role. Makes it easier for the couple and the togs, no surprises 😅 Love your work!

Great video!!! You totally nailed it. As a Sony A7R V user, your recommendations are spot on! Especially the multi-face AI recognition algorithm with auto aperture + range. Also, a better quality screen would be a nice improvement indeed (as specialists in smartphones and TV, Sony should be able to bring this to us easily)

Hey! Would you say the lite could handle a 6D Classic? The full sized slide seems way overkill and at the end of the day the weakest link is the anchors since the straps are def not going to rip.

But, I would recommend staying away from Purger, as it seems the company is not very real, has awful correspondence with customers and, thus far, has not meaningfully responded to my multiple requests to honor its money back guarantee. I bought two of the Type A cf cards and the reader and then changed my mind. I wrote the company stating that, pursuant to the company's money back guarantee, I wanted to return the cards and reader; I also stated that all boxes were still unopened and sealed). I requested that the company furnish a return address so I could return the unopened boxes. Despite several requests, the company has not given me the address I requested. Indeed, it took days before I could even get a response. It's as though no one works there. The company is messing around with me and it seems that it simply does not want to honor it promise to refund. My advice: Stay away. Any company that fails to honor its promises is way way way too risky to trust that its products will work. As of this date, I'm still waiting for the return address. Beware!!

Realy like the Idea of square-sensor-format to use the whole field of a prime and to decide later to change to a certain format (like 3:4, 2:3 or 16:9...)!

In 9:20 of the video, I see that you took pictures of a backlit couple without any external lighting used. Hmm.... just curious. Wouldn't the images turn out awful? The background was too bright, and your subjects would be dark. You could edit them, but.....
