Babylon Leather sells pre-cut kits with everything you need to make one. The holes are predrilled, edges finished, and in many cases straps and handles preassembled. The kits are very affordable (considering Herme$) and are on sale right now.

You should have just gotten the dupe for less than $500 and it would have been near identical to the real one 😅

Where’d you buy/rent/borrow/beg the laser cutter??

Do you mind if I ask where you got the leather…I kinda want to do this project myself. 🙏 I absolutely love the leather you used.

Is there an SVG for the pattern? I have a laser and would love to try this!

What angles did you cut your trusses or “rafters “ I’m just wondering

Those are slick. If the multitude of led strip lights I've used taught me anything, it's to use something physical to keep them in place(bracket, dots of CA) as that adhesive loses to gravity. 😁

And the thing is luxury brands are starting to cut corners in their production and the quality has gone way down. And personally, I would rather buy from a local artisan or from an Etsy shop than from a luxury brand that openly despises their customers.

Why make an imitation bag and not just be creative with your own design?
@leafboy32699 күн бұрын
Crazy that even if you factor in the cost of the literal laser cutter, this is still significantly less than half of the original bag. Awesome project!

Amazing!!! But none of these luxury brands are actually paying artisans to make these... They are sick to charge 98k and not even pay their workers properly...

Years ago a knit and felted this adorable hand bag. Everyone said OMG you could sell those. Materials alone were 160.00. Factor in my labor, and I could not price the bag to be affordable. She did an awesome job on this bag.

Leapfrog or saddle stitch with two needles and opt. sewing pony. Watching you try to stitch leather with a single needle painfully explained the long stitching time lol
