2005 chevy 3500 Tried everything. No blown fuses or relays. All lights work on trailer except the running lights. Not sure what else i can do

oil filter wrench or oil filter cap wrench

It's a oil filter cup - best to buy them as a set so you can use them on anything - I have 2 sets actually and with 3 cars it's nice

My low beam is out, but high beem is still lit. How is that possible with only one bulb?

It has two filaments in one bulb. It's basically 2 lights jammed into one glass casing. You'll have to replace the bulb and it should work like normal. One filament is up higher than the other, the top shines down and the bottom shines more up so the top one is low beam and the bottom is high beam.

Drain plug 30ft lbs, filter drain 9ft lbs, filter housing 18lbs. I've seen drain plugs come loose with vibration . 30ft lbs is pretty tight.

I just went from my 2008 Camry to a 2016 and man, I'm actually so upset at how much more convoluted they made this process. Just changed the oil on a 2005 CRV and it's the normal self contained filters. Now I have to buy a 64mm socket for the housing. And rubber washers that I have to replace in the filter? Why do car manufacturers have to try and fix things that aren't broken?

I was just thinking this exact thing - the old filters were a perfect design - takes 1 min to change them with the right cup - my 2003 is a 15 min oil change if I need it to be!

I had the rubber boot come off while working on my girlfriend's A4, it was a massive pain getting it back out. I've used the magnetic ones from then on.

I bought this truck a year ago and it has right around 285k on it as well. it has been running great until the oil light came on and a clicking sound started. the previous owner put Lucas oil additive in white his oil changes. a mechanic friend suggested I just put 20/50 in and skip the additive. what do you think about that ?

If you just take the cap off the master cylinder to push the caliper pistons in and leave the bleeder zerts alone you wont have to bleed the brakes 😮
