Trailer Brake Lights or Turn Signals NOT Working - TRY THIS

A tip to help restore electrical contact on the trailer plug and connector. Remember corrosion sometimes can be the problem.

My passenger side brake light was not working. I sprayed contact cleaner on the rv plug and truck connector. That did the trick. Thanks!

I can’t get my left side to function at all how do I trace the yellow wire to find out where my short is on the left side. Is that something I have to take to the dealership. All my lights work except for the left side I even bought wireless lights and they work too when I plug them in but the left side doesn’t work so it is definitely my truck but how do I find out where the wire has a short

I would check the wires where the plug wires meet the trailer wires, they should be spliced together a couple feet from the plug

I've been having problems with my boat trailer lights intermittently going on and off. All other turn signal, brake lights work fine, I suspect loose connection in the plug here, on the inner, truck side. Anyone have same issue? Thanks!

Try checking the connection where the trailer light wires are connected to the plug harness, not the plug itself

I have a brand new trailer and my running lights work. My left brake lights and blinkers work but my right doesn’t. It’s driving me nuts.

Check where the plug wires connects to the trailer wires, look for a broken wire

Did you change the bulb? Sometimes it is bad, but doesn't look blown
