due to downsizing, a considerable amount of my work's IT equipment has been packed up, shuffled around and sent interstate and we've found a couple of these just sitting without the laptops they were bundled for scored one and found it works great on steamdeck and other portable gaming computer/consoles

Assuming you're okay with manually turning the external PSU on, and that you have a "Power ON Self Tester", then sure, that'll work

Im trying to do this on my back patio but the way the holes are configured on the wall mount has me drilling within half inch of the edge of the brick and that really makes me nervous of cracking. The lag bolts it comes with are large. Directions say to drill three 3/8” holes 2.8” deep then insert the concrete anchors then the lag bolts. I’m really nervous about the whole thing honestly, I don’t want to destroy a brick and have a costly repair.

It is a risk, but the slower you take it and the more you let things cool off as you go to the better success you will have.

With no research, I flipped the side 120mm fans to be intake instead of exhaust. Should provide some positive pressure and keep dust accumulation down. This creates 3x 120mm intake fans, 1x 90mm exhaust, and the exhaust from the PSU. I was expecting proprietary connections, but really hate they way they implement their NVMe drives.

Couple questions. You said start in reverse? But then seem like you clicked it to go forward until the hole saw is completely in the wood? Did you do this for both sides? What side did you start on inside or outside the cabinet?

It does not have enough power to charge a legion. Your power adapter has to be used in conjunction with the dock. The dock can only send 65w to 90w. Your laptop probably needs 230w.

I have a USB switch which allows me to switch Keyboard and Mouse, between my and my work laptop Lenovo docking station. It works fine for about 7 hours and the if I happen to switch back to my laptop docking station, my laptop says USC device not recognized and the usb ports on the docking station no longer work. I have had tried at least 4 different switches and it happens to all of them, leading me to this the issue is with the docking station. Any ideas why or what I can do?

Without knowing what drives the wireless monitors that is difficult to answer. If they are usb, just about anything probably can, but probably not well. I always wire monitors

It does not have displaylink, that's why it's such a good dock. Display link is a way to fake video out via USB that doesn't actually support video. This device is made for use with Lenovo ThinkPad devices
