Yup the show relies on fan knowledge and leaves the "wider audience" that they wanted clueless on basically everything. This is called horrible/ lazy writing.

A lot of people are siding with Edwina for everything, and while she had a right to be upset with Kate because they’re sisters and Kate should’ve told her that she actually loved Anthony…..Edwina is too damn naive, and a bit ungrateful as well as shallow. Kate literally told her several times that Anthony did not want a love match, hell even Anthony himself explained that to her but she didn’t listen instead, she agreed to the marriage without realizing that she was marrying with no actual love. Her speech after the wedding didn’t sit right with me either because she and even Lady Mary, completely disregarded the fact that Kate basically had to give up her youth in order to raise Edwina, and then she had the audacity to say that she deserves better…..like miss girl, you were told from the second ball that Anthony didn’t want a love match, idk what more she would’ve needed to get that through her head. Now idk if it’s from how she was raised specifically or from something else but Edwina is way too naive, and strikes me as someone who without guidance from Kate….she’d be easily taken advantage of. As for Kate and Anthony, they couldn’t help it that they loved each other…..love is something that truthfully can’t be controlled and you can’t help who you love. Some people are way more passionate about their loves than others and will express it in ways that to some might seem super extra but that’s just how it is. It’s understandable that some girls refuse to listen to when a man has negatives to them, because they love the man and the man is possibly attractive….btu to be told by someone several times that that specific man isn’t someone to marry, you almost marry that man but the wedding goes wrong, and then make a speech saying that you deserve better….girl bye. Edwina should’ve listened.

They're quite frankly my favourite bromance duo. The way the bicker and squabble but also care for each other dearly is one of my favourite things of their show

I was a rebel and a part of this series development. I told them from the get go that gamers want action and excitement. They want Halo as it is in the game. They said that it must be more than the game. It must build up to the conclusion and there must be a story line and a premise that leads to a conclusion. So I said ok, but we must show some intensity in the first series. They agreed. Now that the feed back is luke warm, they are ready to get real nasty with it in Season 2. It will be intense! I was pleased with season one. It did lack some excitement but overall it was good. Gamers have to understand that this is like Game of Thrones. You can`t show all your cards in season 1. This is a massive effort costing millions of dollars. There must be a story but it cannot be dragged out to the point of boring the viewer. So season 2 will send us to the Halo ring where the real excitement begins!! I will keep pushing for the intensity that we all want and they must include the flood if this is to be a real Halo series!!!

Penelope knew her family was miserable being outcasts, yet she continually threw them under the bus as Whistledown. She knew her family was concerned about money, yet she let all the money she collected from the publications collect dust under the floorboard. She lied to her family, her best friend, and her crush. She outsed her own cousin which led her to attempt her own abortion. She was out there destroying lives like nobody's business- her whole business model is run on destroying lives. Then when she's confronted with the literal truth because Eloise figured it out, she went on the attack mode and started to personally attack Eloise - the one who did nothing wrong.... other than going into the bad part of town - which Penelope was doing on a regular basis.... 🤔 She gets no love from me.

Daemon stopped because when he realised how much she loved him in that moment, the sudden guilt he felt made him unable to get it up. I also think that was the moment he realised how much he loved her. There was, of course, a power imbalance, which comes up later in the season.

Why do the scenes keep skipping? Is it the editing? 😭😭

As you watch the Edwina character, she strikes me as one who has been catered to by both her mother and "step-sister". When she realizes she is not going to get what she wants, we see her snarkiness comes out full blast. What we see with her is her making assumptions about Anthony, when her sister had already told her he could not give her what she needed. We women will often ignore the negative that is in the men we are attracted to, only to be highly disappointed once we marry them and/or have their children. Anthony married her because of Kate's insistence. He should have said "no" to Kate's demands to marry Edwina, however, that is the way the writers wrote this script. It would be interesting if we could ask the writers why they wrote the story in this fashion. Let us remember it is nothing more than a make believe story.
