Who is on drums? He is absolutely amazing. Did he play with Ozzy band Mister Crowley ? Oh, that was him , I can hear it. Super, super. Tommy Aldridge. I check in Wikipedia. That's him. Mister Crowley Ozzi Ozbourn live should be your next video, who didn't see it before.

The polyrythm Collins throws in during the guitar solo is one of the best bits of drumming ever. You can see Eric laughing because for about 6 seconds he doesn't know where the one is. But Collins does.....

I had no idea this collaboration ever existed. All hail Eric Clapton and Phil Collins!

Their is a live version with Mark Knophler as well, all 3 of them, and I can't find it. Had the best lead guitar. But I can't find it anywhere

I saw this tour in Newcastle in the UK. I was 13 and bought a ticket off a tout. Looking back you realise what a privilege it was see Clapton in this period and Phil Collins on drums.

Ouço esta versão a quase 10 anos, e ouvi várias para comparações e esta é a mais bela de todas. Um refúgio que me faz viajar no tempo

In the white room with black curtains near the station Black roof country, no gold pavements, tired starlings Silver horses ran down moonbeams in your dark eyes Dawn light smiles on you leaving, my contentment I will wait in this place Where the sun never shines Wait in this place Where the shadows run from themselves, yeah You said no strings could secure you at the station Platform ticket, restless diesels, goodbye windows I walked into such a sad time at the station When I walked out, felt my own need just beginning I wait in the queue Where the train's gone by Lying here with you Where the shadows run from themselves At the party, she was kindless in the hard crowd Consolation for the old wound now forgotten Yellow tigers crouched in jungles in her dark eyes Now she's just saying, goodbye windows, tired starlings Still I will wait in this place Where the sun never shines Wait in this place Where the shadows run from themselves

Tommy is a beast. Master of the double-bass. I think I was about 14 or 15 and saw one of my first concerts, Black Oak Arkansas. It was a great show but even as a young teen all I could think of was, "who in the hell is that drummer!". Every so often I would see a stick fly up in the air and come back down and sweat flying. For days afterward I couldn't get out of my mind how great the drummer was. I would find out years later it was Tommy!
