What I like most about this concert is that every act brought their own unique style to Freddie's songs. We see this in Elton John and Axl Rose singing Bohemian Rhapsody and George Michael with Somebody to Love. No one was trying to be Freddie, they were being theirselves. This is the same with Paul Young, he did his best and he had a great time doing it. It doesn't matter that the song was a bit high for his range; he brought something unique to how he did it.

I was just shy of 10 years old when this was broadcast. I recorded it and I still have the VHS tape. I watch over and over and over again. Looking back, this may have been the biggest influence on my musical taste as someone transitioning from a kid into someone more aware of the world around him. It just sucked that it all had to happen after we lost Freddy, but I thank him for it non the less. His body is gone, but all these years later, Freddy is still alive and well inside of all of us.
