Which one would you advise on getting a w140 or w221 because 140 is old better but not very cheap if you want to go with a good low km specimen, unfortunately most on the market are have downsides like not being long and early years. Looking forward to hear form you.

The 5.0L is not available in RHD - so we are blessed by its unavailability! In Singapore some 90% of W124s are 1998cc auto because of road tax of only US$2000 per annum rather than twice that for larger engines. In 2024 bought a 260E auto in Malaysia and registered it in Singapore. A great car. Just needed to replace service items (like aircon compressor, suspension struts) - everything runs straight and clean! We also in 2024 have W460 300GD and W126 280SE. The 1983 W126 admittedly rides better. The 1983 300GD has a new diesel engine and auto transmission donated from a W124 300D of 1993 vintage. All are a hoot to drive around Malaysia/Singapore where petrol is good value.

I own it and I love it. S500 is the sweet spot v8 glory 🎉

I own same Modell and colour but as S63 AMG with 70k km. Will get a plane like service soon main reason is an issue with the electronic system probably caused by a faulty sensor in the gear box. To me it’s the ultimate highway express, driven on the Autobahn you completely safe at 180 km/h but 300 is also possible if you like to very fast.

211 the best E, you must be high, all previous E, s where better the the 211, after the 124 the quality just gets lower for every generation.....
