Bruh - had several E38s in the family - V8s and V12s. Best looking sedan apart from Jaguar XJ6 / 12 Series III. They are a sublime highway cruiser. Texas, New Mexico, Arizona, Nevada out on empty roads... no better place to spend 4 hours behind the wheel. Never owned a W140 but driven several. Would take an E38 every time. Currently in 05 CL600.

I have both. The E38 is my favorite. The W140 has never left the mechanic shop. And I also have a W126 that I think is better than the W140. I also have an E39 for when I want to go ridiculously fast.

@@snggarageeng The E38 has been very reliable. I just changed 4 ignition coils on the E39 and it is smooth! The W140 I own is a 1995 S500. The people I bought it from redid the wiring harness (biodegradable) and they installed the wrong Throttle Body. It's been a mess. My MBz have been very problematic. I had the spark plugs changed on the W126 and it was hauling buns! But now the EHA valve is leaking. SMH
