Do you not have issues with bubbles? I want to cricket letters and then resin over that so they would be sandwiched in between. I have been practicing but have issues with little air bubbles-even after using a heat gun
@leehomestead34243 күн бұрын
@@jamiesullivan3477 Bubbles can be a problem, but a lot of the time it’s the resin you are using. Another option is to let your resin settle in the cup before pouring it on the project. I use a lighter to pop bubbles and a toothpick to bring any bubbles to the surface that the lighter can’t reach. I don’t like how the heat gun moves the resin.

Sorry, me again! I’d say 70% of the time I put stuff in my mold, I pop all the bubbles then when I cure it I have either one or two huge bubbles/holes or a bunch of small 😢 I’ve wasted soooo much product because of this. Any suggestions? Really appreciate it! Thx Lee ❤
@leehomestead34246 күн бұрын
@@3723tina Try picking the mold up and gently knocking it on the table a couple times to make sure the resin is all settled correctly. Then as it starts to cure watch the surface to see if any bubbles surface. The type of resin you use it’s important. Some produce more bubbles than others.

Great video. But you know I love your videos, no matter what you are teaching. Lol. I do have a question. There was some wax flakes that added, was that part of the 2lbs you measured out? Was it because you needed more room in the pouring container? So you needed to wait for some to melt before you could add the rest or was this extra wax? I may have blinked and missed something. Lol. I am willing to bet those smell scrumptious! Thanks for the added tip of 185 degrees as the best temperature for adding scents. I didn't know that, so thank you sweet friend. I'm sure you will sell out of these.
@leehomestead342415 күн бұрын
Thank you so much! ☺️💕. I started with 2 lbs of wax and let that melt down and then I added 2 more lbs of wax to the pitcher and melted it all down together. That is my way of getting more candles out of one batch. So there was a total of 4 lbs of wax per melting pitcher.
