I have purchased the 6U Mesh version of that cabinet. I have never put together one of these previously. I got the outside put together, but the instructions are very vague, and your video went very fast. Could you please do a quick video showing the details of how to install the internal rails properly? I will be using the cage nuts, and would like to know where and how the rails get installed. Thank you.
@teaching_technology2 күн бұрын
Next time we are setting one up I’ll try to get a clip. The rack does come with included screws and cage nuts for the internal rails on the front and back for the top and bottom.

Hello. how are you? I have a question regarding this device versus a USG Pro 4. In the USG Pro 4, LAN ports 1 and 2 are independent ports, and I can configure an independent segment for each of them (each one on VLAN 1). Is this possible with this new line of devices? I purchased a UCG Ultra, and it cannot do this. The UniFiOS only allows creating VLANs, meaning it only has one network on VLAN 1 for the whole device. Which device would allow me to do everything I need? Thanks. Best regards.

Is cat6a harder to terminate and run? Or similar to cat6?
@teaching_technology3 ай бұрын
6A has a thicker cable jacket making it a little stiffer but I would say no harder to run. For termination you will want a wider keystone to accept the larger jacket, if you have ever done outdoor rated Cat6 or burial Cat6 is similar to that.
@ufomism3 ай бұрын
@@teaching_technology thank you, I am re-running our Ethernet cable since I want to terminate in a different closet. It's currently cat6 but think I will go with cat6a since want 10 gig for my servers and some runs are close to the 55 meters.

Out of stock? Don't you use wholesalers?

We do but typically wholesale follows similar stock levels to the Ubiquiti store. We have 3 different wholesale distributors that are regularly out of stock of anything except AP’s

For this „small“ setup a dream machine pro? Wouldn’t a dream wall be better fitted or a smaller sized UniFi dream series device? And a UniFi wall would also definitely be looking better. And the price would be the same /cheaper then this network gear (excluding the ap s off course).

Can the tweeter be adjusted or moved? I am buying a new house, and the only place I can put these Sonos speakers for surround sound is on the half-wall infront of my kitchen, as my family room has a two-story ceiling. If I can point the tweeters downward, that would work great. If not, then I won't be able to use the Sonos architectural speakers and will need to use another speaker set with adjustable tweeters.
@teaching_technology5 ай бұрын
The tweeter is not adjustable in the Sonos branded in walls. Many companies have an adjustable “point” in ceiling option but most in wall options are fixed.

I'm curious as why you'd need both the Sonos amp and the Sonance DSP ? Wouldn't the Sonos amp alone provide the ceiling speakers - power and room control?
@teaching_technology7 ай бұрын
The Sonance amp is running all of their exterior Sonance landscape speakers (previous install from a different company). The Sonos amps we installed will be for the future zones in the basement that will be completed once construction is done.
@JonnieF147 ай бұрын
@@teaching_technology might be a dumb question but are you plugging the Sonos amp into the dsp? If so, why on that? Better eq I’m assuming? Also - thanks for the reply!!
@teaching_technology7 ай бұрын
No the Sonos amps will have their own speakers tied back to them. The DSP amp was only for the exterior zone in this existing setup
