Do you have more leverage/success straight arming the elbow or his inside lapel and pushing into his neck?

Great technique. Great example and coaching. Do not use on North-South guys, as it leaves you vulnerable up top in a number of ways. Learn from my mistakes.

Top guy will almost always be attached to your hip putting pressure on you and underhooking the far side....and simply moving with you. This is great if the guy stays put or slides off but never does. What am I missing?
@lilzod486223 күн бұрын
I might be wrong, but i think its the right arm elbow on the hip creating the space for you to get the opponent off balance/shrimping to your side.
@joshhardy564622 күн бұрын
The top person is also not going to just lay there and not move. They will come unglued from the hip because they can’t stay there and no get rolled. This defense will create space to recover your guard

Love it. I use this also. Saltier guys might have a wider base that might keep you from rolling... but there's the opportunity to sit out and transition to top turtle.

Great video! Thank you, these are the tips I need to try when they move to their hip On another note, when I’ve done that elbow push across the body, I did that to someone who had 90 pounds on me and when I went to turn to move to the technical stand up part, when I turned with their weight on me I popped a rib really bad. Totally my fault.
