Hi! Thanks for your video. I have one question, two of my injectors are leaking: if I turn the ignition on and start the fuel pump I can see fuel dripping from the injectors. These injectors where recently replaced by a workshop, while the original injectors still work good. Do you think they might be failing because they are dirty?

Do you have any vids about the P0403 code. I have a EW10J4 2004 peugeot 406 and used this cheap ELM327 obd2 scanner and got this code. It was the only fault code. And it says its the EGR circuit mulfunction. Any tips how to remove and replace it. On this car its 2x 13mm bolts.

Hi there, More in depth diagnostics may be required to determine if it is this sensor, if the signal is getting to the ECU or if the immobiliser is unlocking. This is an old video now that covered a common issue with the Clio at the time, but with time there are potentially more issues that could cause the car not to start. Although hopefully it should not be anything too complicated as these are a simple engine. If you do get it sorted let me know as it would be good to hear what it was.

Great channel. Can you describe how to disable the headlight washer spraying system e.g when I use the washer stalk it sprays the windscreen like it should but it also makes a hell of a mess on the hood with the headlight washer system.. I have to get out of the car and wipe down the bonnet because its covered with bubbles and messy washer fluid..
@peugeotCitroen2CV22 күн бұрын
Hi there An unusual problem indeed, i suppose it rains here so much i never cared that the washer fluid got on the bonnet. I was still enjoying seeing the jets pop out of the bumper like a smaller version of pop up headlights As for a solution you could remove the wheel arch liners and either disconnect the motor for the pump that serves those washers, i cant remember at this stage if the 406 used a separate pump for the headlight washers or sent the pressure through the same line as the windscreen jets, if its the latter then the piping will need to be disconnected and appropriately blanked off. There could also be an option in peugeot planet to disable them, again im not sure as its been a while since ive worked on the 406.

Hello, on some other videos of changing the timing chain, i see they put the slot of the timing chain guide on the top. You put the slot on the bottom side, is this stated in the workshop manual of this engine? Thanks
@peugeotCitroen2CV17 күн бұрын
Hi there, i think i went back at some point in the video to correct that? Yes the workshop manual does show the correct place that the gold coloured links are meant to go, although its more crucial that the engine is kept to TDC as the markings on the chain are mainly there as a guide.
@defafa924926 күн бұрын
Surely you don’t have to do all that
@peugeotCitroen2CV26 күн бұрын
I was following the nissan workshop manual Although there would be some who would happily use a bit of tippex to mark the engine at TDC i wanted to do this properly especially when showing it on a video. If i had to do another one i would try and draw and 3D print a tool to hold the crankshaft by locking it relative to some of the timing cover bolt holes.

Did they ever do a twin cam version. Would be fun to hear it humming away at full pelt.
@peugeotCitroen2CVАй бұрын
Hi, i do not think the 1.2 engines were ever offered in twin cam variety, even this being a 16v it was through a single camshaft. Possibly the 1.6 might have been although i might not have enough pub quiz knowledge about the renault petrols🤣. The 172 and 182 i would imaine were twin cam revvy engines. There was the TCe version of this 1.2 engine in the clio mk3, a bit of a bugger on to do stuff like a starter change due to pipes being in the road but it does have a useful bit of extra torque. The naturally aspirated D4F really feels a bit underpowered in the heavier MK3. Its still offered in the MK4 which really did feel quite sluggish although its a basic engine so not much to go wrong and good for urban driving. Although id actually go for the 1.5 DCI K9K engine it suits those renaults a lot better, especially on the motorway where the petrols can get a bit droney.

Use an old drinks bottle to capture the escaping diesel.
