I’m honestly not sure. I’ve only tried it out that one time. Wouldn’t surprise me, as it’s connected to the same waterway as Bartlett.

Tbh bobbers may be used by professionals but I'll say I've had more luck catching all day without one on it's just a distraction to the fish if anything

I’ve always had the best luck at N67th and W Acoma Dr in Glendale. The down stream side is the end of the line, just before the water treatment plant, so a lot of fish get trapped there.

One recommendation that you should start using a fly rod. There is a fly shop called Az Fly Shop and have had fly casting seminars in the past. I don’t know if there going to have another one. Definitely give them a call.

Just a heads up, in Arizona, it is illegal to use any live bait that you caught or otherwise to catch fish. So you might want to edit out fishing with a craw you caught. Just letting you know, look it up if you don't believe me.
@fishingjunkie5436
@fishingjunkie5436 Жыл бұрын
I looked them up before I went to the lake. It’s ok to use live crawfish for bait, you just can’t transport them from one body of water to another.

Personally, I like a 6ft Ugly Stick made by Shakespeare. It’s affordable, durable, and can be used for a range of species - except maybe trout. Trout bite really lightly, and 6ft Ugly Sticks are a little heavier of a rod. Ugly Sticks often come with decent reels as well.

That’s a really good point. I think no matter the body of water in AZ, someone is going to say the fish aren’t safe to eat out of it. I’ve kind of always thought they just want all the fish for themselves.

Use a product called "merical thread" for tying bait to a hook. It is rubbery stuff that sticks to itself. All ou have to do is wrap it a couple of time and break it off.
