they are actors and choreographers for pencak martial arts, they are both Indonesian, Iko Uwais' opponent here is called Joe Taslim, he has also been an actor in the films Fast & Furious, Mortal Kombat 2 as Sub Zero, Star Trek Beyond and others. Meanwhile, Iko Uwais has also starred in many One of the Hollywood films is the film Mile 22, which actually uses Indonesian as the background sound of the conversation.

actually I was waiting for your reaction after you wanted Rama to action fighting in 35:55 hahahaha This might just be a conspiracy, but a former Yakuza boss once lived in Indonesia, maybe you can look for an escapee in the news, so if there is a conspiracy the Yakuza have business in Indonesia, who knows? right, other inf : the knife name is Karambit, its traditional hidden weapon from regional in Sumatera, its like tiger claw (used to be Tiger Silat techniques ,curved, small and hidden (should be small, bigger one we named clurit / sikle in english used to be Carok Silat Technique (madura silat form)) There is a trace, on the internet, if you are curious about Indonesian silat, news about the brutality of carok silat in the real world, like in the movie The Raid, you can search on KZbin. Gareth Evan made the tough but right decision not to continue the 3rd franchise, maybe we can follow the development of THE RAID REBOOT / THE RAID IMAGING, THE RAID whatever it is in the hands of the HOLLYWOOD director, and many don't like it (The Raid reboot directed by Patrick Huges and produced by Micheal Bay) happy to see your reaction bro

If you like these style films, I would strongly recommend you check out I Saw The Devil which is similar to The Raid films. The concept of taking martial artists who do their own stunts and placing their characters in high stakes situations. I Saw The Devil is Korean, it's a detective/psychological thriller film. The main actor is a TaeKwonDo champion, the other main actor in the film was the guy from Oldboy. I'm sure you'd love it if you loved these films.

@@soulsroll Alright, I'll recommend a few more movies for you to watch. The Way Of The Gun (2000). It is Chris McQuarrie's follow up film to The Usual Suspects. His brother was a Navy SEAL, so Chris brought him in as a technical advisor to choreograph all the gunfights and train all the actors. The Good, The Bad, The Weird (2008). It's a Korean wild west movie about a bounty hunter, a thief, and a crime boss hunting for the same treasure. The crime boss is played by the same actor from I Saw The Devil, just make sure you watch the Korean cut of the film. Not the international cut. Every movie from S. Craig Zahler, which is Bone Tomahawk (a cowboy horror film about a sheriff and his posse vs cannibalistic troglodytes, and Kurt Russell is the sheriff), Brawl In Cell Block 99 (Vince Vaughn plays a former boxer turned drug runner to put food on the table who gets double crossed and ends up in prison), and Dragged Across Concrete (Mel Gibson as a corrupt cop who was never able to advance in his career past a certain point). Atomic Blonde (2017). A lot of the stunt team who worked on John Wick also worked on this film, it's a massive love letter to British spy films with modern stunt work. Thief (1981). It's an earlier film from Michael Mann before he did HEAT and Collateral. James Caan also went to Gunsite back in the day and trained with Jeff Cooper to get his gun manipulations down, you can absolutely see it in this film.

@bebop_5576 ай бұрын
@@soulsroll Ahh, I was curious why I didn't recognize it. I'm not familiar with the British military's medals. I did get a challenge coin from a Kiwi soldier in Afghanistan, he gave it to me when I was able to hold a conversation with him about the African Bush Wars. He was surprised that I knew the Kiwis fought in the Boer War, he gave me a challenge coin afterwards. In any case, I appreciate what you did.

@@soulsroll No, actually, I was never in Afghanistan. I was stateside for my entire contract. (I didn't join up to be infantry, I joined up to do SAR and disaster relief.) Sorry, I should have specified better: I got the challenge coin from a Kiwi soldier who was deployed to Afghanistan with the NZ military and served alongside the US military. After his initial deployment, while he was in the US, that's when I met up with him and he gave me the challenge coin.

I am so glad you enjoyed it! A lot of people didn't because it wasn't "accurate," or they hated the idea of the arcana being where the mortals get their unique powers from, or that the tournament itself had not actually been fought yet, and no Johnny Cage. Thing is, they were hopeful and planning to at least make a trilogy, and expand upon everything. Personally, I don't think it would be possible to squeeze everything the angry fanboys were wanting into one decent movie without it ruining it.
