There's a few good videos of Keanu training for the gun & action scenes (also for future co-stars) on YT. He definitely put a lot of effort into learning his role, quite impressive really, suggest you check them out.

I actually liked your “controversial” comment. Yes, Viggo was an evil criminal, and his son might also be one, so they likely deserved nothing good. Still, I love to see reactors who make some effort to understand and recognize the potentially relatable side and feelings of the antagonists, because, in my opinion, that’s one way to truly appreciate a well-written fictional story: to understand, or at least try to, both its ‘good guys’ and ‘bad guys’. I like to think that when Viggo came after Marcus, it was partially also to cope and compartmentalize the guilt he felt over sacrificing his own child. He didn’t want to properly face his guilty conscience so he put all the blame on Marcus.
@soulsroll8 ай бұрын
Damn dude I never thought about it like that but you’re so right, he put that on Marcus! That’s so human, man I appreciate this movie the further I step away from it. Thanks for this comment man
@greymalkin92288 ай бұрын
@@soulsroll I think the guilt goes even deeper than that. Viggo himself is the reason Iosef was the insecure punk he was, which is what set off the whole catastrophic chain of events. Take a look at how Viggo treats him when he returns from successfully completing some errand and behaving in exactly the way he's been taught it's perfectly okay to behave. He gut punches him twice (and judging by Iosef's subdued reaction it's not the first time that's happened). Then he goes on about how amazing John is and how pathetic Iosef is in comparison. And to cap all this humiliation off he does it in front of the nebbishy lieutenant and almost entirely in English so the guy who doesn't speak Russian will understand every single word. Viggo brought all of it on himself and blames everyone but himself.

@@greymalkin9228 damn dude, the story just goes deeper and deeper, John was inevitable for them. I need to watch the sequel ASAP

You are literally the only reactor I've seen that recognized the cleanup crew boss as the leader of the Rogues from the Warriors. Also the styles that Keanu uses are a mix of BJJ, Judo, Sambo, Aikido, and Krav Maga

I was so shocked to see him, that movie was my childhood! Woah Keanu seriously trained for this role, I feel like it’s turned him into a badass off the screen too 😂

The first time I watched this movie I honestly noped out at that point. It wasn't until many years later, when I got into BJJ myself, that I tried it again. Also, the guy who plays Kirill (the only character in the movie able to go toe-to-toe with John and win) is a Swiss actor and martial artist named Daniel Bernhardt. He shows up in a lot of supporting roles and I remember him as Jaeger in Altered Carbon (a show you might check out).

Yeah, the scenes with Daisy and Keanu actually capital-A acting right at the start are the perfect justification for everything that comes after. Such a satisfying revenge film.

The dog at the end is Keanu's dog in real life. There was a note on his cage that was stamped "TO BE PUT DOWN". Wick saved the pitbull from being euthanized.

The scene with francis( kevin nash wrestler) when john says you lost weight he was really asking what am I facing inside, and the response is 20 armed men. In the next scene he doesn't kick him in the nuts but actually breaks his right knee

Gets you out of the mood that the movies put you in and it takes long time to stop thinking about them. Please stop that. I saw it in Train to Busan aswell.
