"Becoming Steve Jobs" by Brent Schlender resembles when he is talking about. I think if anyone wants to actually see the evolution of Jobs should read this one over Walter's book.

Garbage, people believe what they want to believe. People started speaking "softer" about Jobs once he was diagnosed with terminal cancer. And of course, as memories fade, the harsher times don't seem as harsh. I don't want to speak bad about someone whose passed away but just saying that's all.

Life IS a Faustian bargain for which you must mortgage your soul. We’ve seen this throughout History Example: Germany under National Socialism. The German people were GIVEN what they were PROMISED by Ol Adolf: -War Reparations pardoned/forgiven…YES, -Territories lost to the Treaty of Versailles reannexed…YES, -Manpower limit of 100K personnel for the military abolished…YES… Problem WAS, they didn’t know that prosperity and happiness would be bought w/, War AND Genocide (aka, the Holocaust). Anyway… IN A WAY… When you think about it, all a resume REALLY is, is just an “obituary” of career paths that DIDNT work out!!! Morbidly ironic, really, when you consider that writing your resume is REALLY kinda like writing YOUR own obituary (you can’t really enjoy the luxury of your own coffin ⚰️, but you can ALWAYS do the next BEST thing: eulogizing YOURSELF). As for the explaining to a future, potential employer…EASY: Same concept as a court of law (“The People vs YOU”, as it were!!!)- The party who tells the better story is who the judge and jury will favor. Same goes for a job interview: 1.) Get the employee to not just LIKE you, but also EMPATHIZE w/ you; 2.) Like The People vs OJ, the evidence was overwhelmingly AGAINST OJ, but the defendant’s defense told a BETTER story, thus TRUMPING the evidence; even if it was your fault-and your fault ALONE-you can STILL make yourself out to be…”victimized” (good employee vs SH💔TTY employer!!!)!!! 3.) Skills don’t don’t mean DICK SQUAT at interview: LUCK 🍀 is 67% of the battle!!! & finally… 4.) You could lose your job at ANY TIME!!! It all depends on the whim of your employer- -He/she doesn’t like your haircut, guess what??? They can fire yer ASS… -He/she doesn’t like the smell of your breath, guess what??? They can fire your ASS… -He/she doesn’t like your tone of voice, guess what??? They can fire your…ASS… -He/she feels you’re a threat to THEIR “balance of power”, guess what??? YEP 👍🏻… They can… …wait for it‼️‼️‼️… …fire… …your… …ASS‼️‼️‼️ (And you can’t do ANYTHING about it…EXCEPT tell the better story and HOPE you get a clean slate…💚💛💙).

Seth Godin is a legend , today really marks a turning point in my life, I just figured what the challenge of my business is , I'm in the SEO industry and we have been really struggling to grow our business, but it came to me that we really didn't know what our challenge was until today. I wan to the the guy who asked the quest to Seth Godin about growing his SEO business beyond just producing successful results for clients, I keep coming back to this lecture , because it is such a great lecture by the God father of marketing-Seth Godin

Thanks for sharing this. I think Ed articulates that change in a way that none of the books do, but I felt like that change was apparent Walter Isaacson's biography captures that change. For me, it was an emotional journey of losing admiration for Steve and then having it rebuilt over the course of the book.

Seth is a super star. Zero BS. That's why he is a Super Star. The reason why he is a Super Star, is because most of us are only happy from the benefit of the dark so that we can go to rest.
