I haven't looked up when FedEx arrived in the European mail market. But even in the 90`s, FedEx was the way to go with secure and urgent mail in Germany and Austria, and I believe it might still be so. When the federal mail in Germany was privatized, mail transport got so unsecure and expensive, that FedEx was the only possible way to send stuff even within a huge city. I used to work as freelancer journalist and most of the time I had to jump in when I was doing press work as a single project for companies, that had been let down by their actual partners for press and pr. These were the jobs, that got me the most money in very short time. But also, these were the jobs, that needed secure and fast mail handling. I suppose, the biggest enemy people have when trying to go a new path, is themselves, when listening to the wrong people telling them it wouldn't make sense. Looking back, this was the main problem for me too. I have had so many good ideas, that I gave up because some people said, they don't make sense. And later others had similar or even the same ideas and thrived. So I must say: if you have an idea, go for it. Use every single chance you get and don't let others stop you from trying. Most often these people haven't even given your idea a second thought before telling you, that it's not worth trying. So let your guts motivate you. ;-)

The only thing I would clarify is the idea of ignoring demographics and concentrating solely on psychographics. There is clearly overlap between he two. If I’m Ferrari and I solely concentrate on people who love cars, that may include those who can’t afford it now or in the future. I really need to consider who an afford, what is their income, where do they live, how old, etc. Am I wrong?

who knows what does RO mean?
@AnnPorterCourtTherapist4 жыл бұрын
R0, pronounced “R naught,” is a mathematical term that indicates how contagious an infectious disease is. It’s also referred to as the reproduction number. As an infection is transmitted to new people, it reproduces itself. When Seth Godin uses this term, he is using it under a marketing principle - how your product and service is transmitted to new people - like a spread of a virus (think of Covid-19 for May 2020 and how fast that virus has spread).
