Very cool! Not sure I'll be able to see the tablet, unless it can go bigger than what you demonstrated, as I'm legally blind. Had been wondering how I'd use the flight planner and VATSim stuff in VR. Thanks for sharing this. :)

The GPU will just say available since you were running off of engine/APU power. If you had turned either off then the GPU would’ve been in use

Sorry everyone.... severe thunderstorm warning popped up and I lost power for a minute which took the stream down :( Bummer since that was starting out to be a good flight after so long away. :( don't worry we'll get another one back up soon. You tried the settings in this video to get a baseline? That PC should be powerful enough for VR... you might have to lower some of your settings, though.

I never used the Carenado one, but the mod for XPlane is very very good. And the devs are always making it better!

Hi sorry took so long to reply! Streaming in VR is a bit complex, but basically it involves using OBS, Oculus Mirror... the mirror is presented via OBS.

Getting an oculus quest 2 on the used marketplace, I’ve created a budget setup using the Logitech yoke and throttle quadrant, picking up Logitech rudder pedals today! And hopefully I can find a clean headset to pickup today as well

If you have an offset you must set FDs off , bird ON ( Track/FPA) and continue visually , you had your FDs guidance showing to the different way, that’s not acceptable in A320

Bro, if you are performing RNP AR you should have set F2 and possibly GD earlier, you got EGPWS caution because of high speed, this is a real deal( you cannot inhibit it) , if you you want to slow down you’d better set F1, F2 and then use the spoiler, otherwise it makes zero sense ( tips from a real A320 pilot). I’m quite interested in the quest 2. I’d just like to know how well you can read the pfd, efb, switch labels, etc. What’s your experience?

Hi! I have absolutely no problem reading any of the things you mentioned using the quest 2 and my settings. I run it at native resolution using TAA/100 which provides great clarity. All depends on your PC specs, though. I'm running a 14900k 4090 combo which gives really great performance at higher settings.

It takes a few flights to get used to it, but once you do it a few times it is very natural! And then it's impossible to go back to using MSFS in 2D :)

Hey mate - had a question re FS2Crew? Which SOP should I get 1 2 or 3 for the 738? Not sure what the difference is

Hi! The three SOPs are generally the same except SOP1 is (I think) the generic SOP for the 737ng, SOP2 represents sop for an unnamed low-cost EU carrier, and SOP3 is sop for an unnamed low-cost US operator.... I think. I got SOP1 when it came out and it works great for me, so I never felt the need to buy any of the specific ones. Check their website for the specifics, though.

I've not even tried the Piston version only, but have about 20 hours or so in the Turbine version. Best twin in the sim for me, so far.

@@jenswaldram5955 Takes a few flights to get used to the position of the controls, but they are placed in generally the same places they are in VR.... so it becomes very natural to use the yoke/throttle after a short time. And yes - I just put the quest controller in my lap when I need to use the throttle/thrust levers..... I only use the right controller. The left hand is not needed since it's always on the yoke (unless the AP is on of course)
