Soo... Hogwarts is what we in the USA would call a "public school".... Except for the books/certain supplies, and personal items.... In the US, public school student's books are supplied, too. Interesting....

Hogwarts is a state school they don't have to pay to go. The Malfoy pay because they are donating to the schools up keep. It is state funded school by the British Ministry but everyone chips in here and there. Students have to pay for their own wands, other needed school supplies and uniform. Tom Riddle used the school's bursery fund to get his school supplies.

I don't think the books are clear on this matter. It is explained that horcruxes work the opposite way to the human body - you can destroy the body and the soul won't be harmed but if you destroy a horcrux then the soul piece is destroyed too. But then other parts of the books seem to contradict that idea. Just before voldemort's death, Harry seems to think remorse would still save voldemort and restore his soul even though the horcruxes have been destroyed. I also got the impression in the books that all remorseless murderers get stuck in limbo, even if they didn't create horcruxes.

basically Voldemort has damaged his soul so much that he would be in a limbo state( that limbo voldemort in kings cross when harry dies and visits dumbedore before harry comes back alive 0 forever, theres no moving on or coming back as a ghost for voldemort, its nothign to do with remorse, its cos voldemort ruined his soul way too much

It's a main theme in the books that remorse is the cure for a split soul and is even mentioned as a way to undo a horcrux. Book Harry told Voldemort to feel remorse just before Voldemort died.

Rowling also mentioned that, despite his extreme fear of death, he cannot become a ghost

Our government funds schools why couldn't the wizard government do the same? Also not having to feed their children for half or more the year would allow poor families like the Weasley's to save up quite a bit for robes and study books. You'd think feeding all those students would cost the school quite a bit but in books its mentioned many times that if you have a little bit of food there are ways of magically multiplying the food. Our government wastes alot of money and alot of money goes to paying off the national debt. You'd be amazed what an efficient government without a lot of debt could pay for.

Also, if you really think about it, Ron and Hermione became friends, IN THE TOILET BC OF A TROLL and bc it was Qurriel (deatheater) that realsed the troll, and the only reason Voldermort was back off the head was bc he hadnt get his whole body, so if Siruis would be James secret teller, then Ron and Hermione would never be together, pretty intersting.
