In the US, “college” is the same as university. He says at the beginning that he went to Florida State, which is Florida State University, a public state university. (As opposed to a private university/college, which tend to be more expensive and often times harder to get into. In English a bandit is a thief, not often/necessarily in the mob. Regarding “koshka”, is it correct that it means specifically female cat? I am 1/4 Slavic. My maternal grandmother was born in Lugansk of Ukrainian and Russian heritage. Being from Eastern Ukraine they spoke Russian. They came to the US in 1910. Nana taught me to say “thank you” and how to count to ten in Russian. It’s been over fifty years, I can only count to 9 now. My sister and I will also remember the Russian for “sit down and shut up” until our dying day. ( 😁 Did Bert say the policeman said “sit down”? About 20 years ago my late mother adopted a female kitten and named her Kukla Koshka. “Cock block” is an existing expression meaning to prevent a male for, shall we say “succeeding” with a woman. Two word rhyming or alliterative phrases are very common and popular in English. I love your shirt.! 😁

I think when he mentioned "stars and stripes" on the conductors shirt, he was really just referring to a flag in general. We dont always use that term for flags but sometimes we do so it may have been a slipup. I always interpreted it as just the russian flag

Howdy from the southeast. A Russian accent is as unique as a southern US accent. Xenia Onatopp in the 007 movies, the one who crushed people with her legs, best accent ever! I'd really like to visit ole Russia one day, always been fascinated with people who live and thrive in the provincial area of Siberia. Heinz BBQ sauce is subpar mess at best, full of that fructose corn syrup. Southerns take mayonaise seriously. Dukes is the one, akin to While Lilly flour for buttermilk biscuits. Speaking of which those biscuits are very savory, basically flour with buttermilk and lard cut in then baked, nice and fluffy inside with a little crisp on top and bottom. Come visit, check out Charleston S Carolina, Savannah Georgia, Natchez Mississippi, The Smokey Mountains of Tennessee and New Orleans. New Orleans is going to have some the best food your ever put in your mouth. Have a great new year ! Peace.

Great reaction. When they show the massive crowd, you can see the structure stacks all over. Those structure stacks are the PA systems. So everyone can hear. So, It isn't just the stage PA delivering sound to that massive audience.

Tragically, 51 people sadly lost their lives at this event. Drug overdoses, trampling & also there were some military personnel beating people. That can be seen in Pantera videos from this same event.

I live in the deep south and we only get fried Oreos when the county fair is in town. And it may sound gross but it just tastes like an Oreo wrapped in funnel cake topped of with some powdered sugar. It's great cause during the fair here it's usually cold and fried Oreos will warm you up. It tastes perfectly normal lol.

I love watching Russians react to this bit. Some of the best reactions out there (as far as this bit goes). Idk how long you’ve been studying English, but it’s actually pretty amazing. If you hadn’t told me you were Russian & I heard you speak English, I’d definitely still be able to tell you were European, probably be able to tell you were Eastern European, but definitely not be able to say Russian for sure. Keep it up. I’m in the process of learning my third language (Italian), but would love to learn Russian too, just to say I know how to speak it. I’ll admit that alphabet talk use is kind of intimidating though lol. Good video, man. Subbed…

Born and raised in the Lowcountry of the Great State of South Carolina. Yes we're all about our manners and we're raised to be polite and friendly, however we don't take any crap from anyone who is disrespectful to us or someone else around us. Our food is the best in the whole country of of America. We have the cleanest cities Minus Atlanta but they're no longer really southern. Boiled peanuts are delicious (mine favorites are hot and spicy) No if your child is misbehaving in public and can't act properly then don't bring them out in the public. 90 degrees isn't that hot to us, we don't like the cold. Anything below 60 degrees cold to us. South Carolina has the best BBQ. We are the birthplace of BBQ. So I had to add this edit...We don't do bottled BBQ that's not BBQ sauce. We make our from scratch. Here in SC we have hot Vinegar and mustard based BBQ sauce...some people like tomato based but that's just lazy sauce here.

I really do think russian is "the south" of Europe. We are wild, always doing crazy stuff, extremely independent, self-reliant, and the majority of us live away from cities in the woods. I do feel like we are culturely similar.

Generally Texas and Florida are not considered The South. I think it has to do with the revolutionary war, as Texas and Florida were not involved to any great existent and most people in Florida originated somewhere else and moved for the weather. Southern culture is very rooted in the history of slavery and the war. In that regard, a Russian might be preferable to a “dam yankee”.

I’m from Natchez, Mississippi. In the video he mentioned Natchez a few times. Here we don’t care where you’re from, If you’re nice to us we are nice to you. We accept everyone equally. Southern food is something you have got to experience, it is amazing. But The Arizona sweet tea is a pathetic example of sweet tea. You need Lipton home brewed sweet tea. I would love to see all of the stereotypes erased. But if you ever visit, you will see Southerners will work extremely hard to make you comfortable and feel at home.

Arizona and New Mexico is actually considered it's own region. Basically, "the South" is Texas and eastward. Mostly it's because of a historical context: the Civil War between the federation vs. the confederation; the western territories, like California, Arizona, and New Mexico were territories of Mexico, which after the "Western Expansion" (the war with Mexico including the Alamo, gold rush in California and the Oregon Territory, etc.), got incorporated into the federation.

Smiling is common in US , all over.. Your eyes meet in the store and you smile. Its like you're saying, "I see you, you're important and I'm happy you're out and about." In the next isle or at the register you might start a conversation. If a kid is misbehaving I'll definitely correct them like I might my own kids.

Boiled Peanuts are typically salted but you can get them unsalted as well. They are are very soft and can be eaten without the shell or with the shell. Also biscuits in America are salty/buttery breads. not sweets.

Accounting for more than 50 percent of all U.S. peanut production, Georgia produced the most peanuts of any State, with a 2022 peanut crop estimated at 2.9 billion pounds cotton being the other thing for production grown. "Boiled Peanuts" are just peanuts that are boiled and normally have cayenne pepper, garlic powder, crushed red pepper, Old Bay, paprika, Cajun seasoning when they are done being boiled or even when they are boiling (depends on the cook), however be careful if you are a diabetic, peanuts have sugar in them.
