I live in a senior community, the courses here have six tees, so the courses play anywhere from 3000 to 7000 yards. I and most of my old fart buddies play from the 5500 or 6000 yard set. A top drive of 190 allows me to break 90 on the days when my short game is more or less "on." Keys: Keep your drives in play! Avoid OB and water.

The average golfer needs one wedge. Our games are not dialed to worry about a 10 yard gap. I 56 deg 12 bounce and works out great. Sometimes less is more.

Angle of attack is what differentiates the best option for the average golfer.

One of your best all time videos, I learned so much about wedges via this video. Very valuable information, you should do the same video on Drivers, FWs, Irons, hybrids. TY

I’m normally a Law-abiding citizen, but I just checked and my chipper is 1/2” longer than my 7 iron. I’m keeping it. My wife likes this rebellious side of me.

I am a high handicapper and I use my 60 on almost every hole. The only time i use my 56 is when I need to bump and run or I can full swing from 80 yards out.I dont really miss hit my wedges. Any time I am not on in regulation, its because of a bad drive or bad iron shot. Thinking about it...maybe I need to ditch my chunky irons for blades 😂.

Just changed from 46PW, 52, 56, 60 to one less wedge: 46PW, 52, 58 and this simplification is working out great. All high bounce (it's usually very soft inland in UK)

Gimmes are the worst. Can’t stand them. Hell of a lot of players out there that don’t put into the hole 😡

So when you hole it on the green on the hole beside, then it counts for both holes, not?

Pros don’t use a lob wedge for loft. They use it so they can open it up and keep the ball on the grooves longer to create spin. That is why most use a 60 with low bounce and grind more off. They want to be able to slide under the ball to get it to stop on firm and fast greens.
