@@martinnelson3565 We love it out there with the history and the wide open spaces. Being a working farm the tracks are limited but is all you need to get to any place you want to go with 4wd once you leave the camp area, which is all 2wd and good access to the creek for panning which is where most of the gold is 😁

Hi brad Enjoy watching your videos. Just A Question on your caravan. I have been looking at one Similar to yours For sale However little bit concerned on the payload It said 350kg By the time you fill up your water tank And A. Few bits and pieces you could be over weight. Interested on your thoughts. Many thanks Greg
@BrandiscapeAdventuresАй бұрын
G'day Greg, glad your enjoying the videos mate, and thanks for your great comment. They are a great van but you are correct in saying about the payload which is very limited from the factory. I was thinking the same as you and then found our van which had a ATM upgrade by the previous owner, which increased the ATM to 2600kg so now gives a little breathing space, but still need to watch weights. Most of the time we are running around 2400kg with full tanks and gas which would be over weight with the factory ATM everyday. ATM upgrade is the only way to go, which would be the case for most single axle vans. Hope this helps mate 😊😊

Thanks for the video Brad. Well done 👏 we have also had the same problem recently in our Starcraft. All windows being taken out and resealed. Would it pay you to check the rest of your windows? We were so disappointed with Jayco's attitude of too bad!!! We enjoy your videos. Safe travels. Cheers Jane and John.

Thankyou so much for your great comment, it means a lot and glad you are enjoying the videos. I have checked all the other windows and resealed them all to avoid any future issues. Once the putty type material starts hardening and breaking down on the outside, the water will come straight in. Very disappointing from Jayco but will have no more leaks now. We hope you get yours sorted out. Happy travels 😁😁

Great video. Had to do the same repair recently. I found the window was not sealed properly from manufacture. Disappointing as you would think jayco would have this as a high quality control step in their construction process.

Thankyou. Its very disappointing and totally agree with you, i cant believe they use the putty type material to seal and expect it to last. Says a lot for their quality control, and feel sorry for the people that don't realise its happening in their van until its to late.

Enjoyed your latest episode. Looks like it was filmed near where I grew up. I come from generations of dairy farmers. Now that I'm retired, and my son is my travelling companion, how do we find farm sitting like this?
@BrandiscapeAdventures5 ай бұрын
Happy that your enjoying the video's. We were on a property around Milbong down near Boonah, and not far from where i grew up originally. This farm sit was for a family member, but when we do start travelling full time and doing more farm sits, there are facebook pages and groups that advertise, and also a few websites just for farm sitting opportunities. Happy travel's 😃

Great to see you showcasing farm sits, hopefully you told the owners you had visitors. Just be mindful that some farms sits may not be comfortable with additional people showing up. With both your skill sets you guys will have no trouble travelling and working on the road full time. Look forward to the next video.

That's great thanks mate. We went away for the first time in our jayco 16.52-3db.ob Plugged into mains water in the caravan park and didn't realise the pump was still on. I think I might have stuffed a non return valve because both water tanks filled up on there own some how? Any advice on that would be appreciated... Cheers
@BrandiscapeAdventures7 ай бұрын
G'day mate, i have heard of this happening and can suggest it may be the non return valve under the bed right near the pump and hot water system being faulty, and letting water pass back through the pump which it shouldnt make a difference if its on or not, when connected to mains. I have just replaced our NRV at the pump because we were having issues with hot water pressure on the pump and seems to have fixed the problem. Will have a video coming out this Friday arvo on that and hot water maintenance. Its a bit fiddly trying to work in that small area to replace it but would be giving that a go first to replace the NRV for under $30, and that will stop any mains water getting to the pump and to the water tanks, which is the only way mains water would get to the tanks. Let me know how you go mate. Can contact me through FB page if you need more help.

Hi, how did you wire in the inverter to the 240v sockets?
@BrandiscapeAdventures9 ай бұрын
G'day and thanks for your question. I had the inverter hardwired through a changeover switch to connect to the existing caravan wiring and rcd so it's connected to all points and a/c. This switch isolates and selects either mains power or inverter power and never both at the same time. I had run the cable through the van then around an hours work for a qualified electrician to install the switch and do the connections and test it all.
@murwullambah9 ай бұрын
Ok thanks I would like to do the same, what type and size of cable would I need to use?
@BrandiscapeAdventures9 ай бұрын
I purchased a RVD from rvdsafe which came with the rvd saftey switch wired into 7m of 2.5mm 3 core soft cable which was enough to run through the van from the inverter under the bed up to where the rcd is mounted in the overhead cupboard.

What a great little camp. Looked like you enjoyed it. Those Taylor fillets looked yummy. We had a problem with our fridge on gas a while back. Turned out to be the smallest speck of grit had worked it's way into the igniter. Cover the fridge vents now when on loose dirt roads, bit of a pain but no dramas since. Stay safe. 👍

Thanks mate. Absolutely love those quiet little bush camps. Give the gas burner and flu a full clean when we got home and works as normal now. I think with the bouncing to get through the sand coming off Inskip point from Fraser it may have had a speck off grit in there somewhere and maybe even dislodged the baffle in the flu tube but all good now. Like you say it doesnt take much to affect the gas side of it. Take care mate 👍
